A Hidden Gem in Haveli Lakkha "My Visit to Baba Peer Islam Shrine."

Hello Steem For Pakistan! Is everything working well? Hopefully you are enjoying your life. Today in this post I am sharing something very special from my area. This is about a peaceful and spiritual place called Baba Peer Islam. It is located in Mohalla Peer Islam, Haveli Lakkha, Punjab, Pakistan. I am sharing this Hidden Gems of My Area for this contest and this is my real and honest experience. I want more people to know about this peaceful place.

Baba Peer Islam was a very pious and kind man. People say he was very close to Allah. He helped people, lived a simple life and spread love and peace. After his death, a shrine (mazar) was construct in his memory. Our whole area is named after him Mohalla Peer Islam. His story is not very famous on the internet, but people here love and respect him a lot.

I have visited this shrine many times. From my childhood till now, it has been a place where I go when I feel worried or stressed. The moment I enter, I felt peace in my heart. The air is quiet and the sound of prayers makes me feel connected to Allah.
People visit the shrine mostly on Thursdays and Fridays. Some come to pray, some to make wishes and some just to sit quietly. You will mostly see people bringing flowers, chadars (sheets) and lighting candles and oil lamps (chirags). The shrine is always clean and decorated but simple.

Every year, a special event is held called Urs Mubarak. It is a very important day for the people in our area. People do these things on Urs:

• People light chirags (oil lamps)
• Quran is recited
• Special prayers are made
• Free food (langar) is served to everyone
• Families come together and show love for - Baba Peer Islam
  The Urs is not just a religious event. It brings the whole community together in a peaceful way.

There is no entry fee, it means 100 percent free and this is one of the best things about this place. But if we want to light a chirag during Urs, we have to buy oil for oul lamp and the cost is
PKR 200 to 300.
In STEEM about 6 to 10 STEEM.
Snacks or tea from nearby shops cost about PKR 300–500 which is also very affordable.
Langar (free food) is given to everyone by local families. This shows their love and faith.

Many people don’t know about Baba Peer Islam shrine because it is not shown on TV or big websites. But it is truly a hidden gem. It is simple, quiet and full of peace. I believe that if more people visit, they will also feel the same calmness and connection with Allah.
