Weekly Contest - Best Diary Game | Deanery meeting successfully hosted.

On the 11th day of May 2025, my parish finally hosted the deanery altar servers after we have been avoiding this for some months and we couldn't escape this time, lol. I just decided to let it be so that I will know that we have hosted before. Alot of things happened that day and I was happy it ended successfully. Walk with me as I tell you the full story for that day.

I woke very early at about 4am and I started preparing for Sunday 6am mass at our outstation. The weather was very cold that morning and i was praying that the rain doesn't fall so that it won't ruin my day. I got set and went to church. The mass started and ended successfully as well so I called my younger brother so that we can buy the ice we will need to put inside the drum of drinks and water. We went together to the place where ice blocks are sold and we made a complete payment because I have already paid for some the previous day.

We bought 7 ice blocks which is worth 20 steem. I took a picture of the ice blocks before we carried them to the church with the drinks and water. My brother piece some of the blocks and arranged them neatly inside the drum while I was making arrangements for other things. I kept on calling out secretary on the phone so that he can sign our welcome address because the president and the hosting parish should sign the address to are to present in the meeting.

The last mass for that Sunday ended and most our visitors were already present so we started arranging the seats and tables so that we can start immediately. We started with praying of the rosary because one of our fellow altar server in the diocese died in March and he has being buried. We were praying for the repose of his soul. May his soul rest peace. Amen 🙏. The deanery president said the opening remark and moe people were coming to the meeting. The meeting was going well and I went outside to meet my secretary who was just coming.

He signed the welcome address and after I joined the meeting and presented it to the house and I also read it. The meeting progressed after that and i was so happy that everything was going well. One of my executives with some other members from my parish brought the food and they started making some arrangements tod share it. The meeting finally ended and we all prayed for the food and it was shared accordingly, including the drinks and water. Everybody ate and went to their various homes while my members and I stayed back to keep the church clean before going home.

We returned the crate of drinks to the place we bought them and we also returned the plates and cooler in our patron's bar. We were so happy that the meeting has finally come to an end. I was so very happy that our visitors enjoyed themselves. They didn't expect us to share rice, they thought we will just share snacks. My younger brother and one of my executives were going when one of my executives who's a steemian too decided to buy some materials that he can use to sew clothes for himself.

After that we all went to our various homes. This was when I even got the opportunity to drink my own soft drink. I was busy throughout when I was in the church. I also didn't press my phone all those time. I replied some important messages first then I took my bath and rested for an hour before I could press my phone and check my steemit notification. There were some new notifications. I aye dinner and went to bed early that day hoping to wake up very early the next day.
