How do wars affect the lives of ordinary people including children?.

War is a killer od dreams, it have devastating effects on the lives of many ordinary folks, including children. Some of the effects are physical, emotional, and psychological and can hang around many years after the war.

Traumatised children
Exposure to the horrors of war, children see their parents being killed and they are abused and displaced, registering in their midst for a long time. Facing serious malnutrition disease, and other health problems created by a lack of sufficient food and medicine.

Effects of war on older People:
Some people are forcefully conscripted or imprisoned for refusing to join. Other people flee and become refugees, living behind their homes and occupations. Now they have to live without a source of livelihood, and can not afford ordinary bread. Some people get separated.

Tell us about one historical war that had a major impact on the world?.

The Second World War had lots of significant impact on the history and development of mankind in general. It was fought from 1939 to 1945. More than 30 countries were involved, with fatalities estimated at around 70-85 million. Just imagine counting in the Holocaust and the effect of the atomic bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The Second World War continued as the Cold War, which lasted another 10 years between the United States and the Soviet Union.

How can we keep ourselves safe during the wars?.

To stay safe during wars will require careful planning, awareness, and adaptability. Keep your ears on the ground and as situations unfold, relocate early enough. Avoiding the conflict is mt best solution. So stay informed of the developments around you.
Have an evacuation plan ready. Keep documents and funds ready. In this world of uncertainty, develop skills or work you can do from anywhere.
If you are caught in the conflict, your reality has changed. Seek shelter in any designated safe zone, following evacuation plans.
Staying informed with a little battery or solar radio, always being prepared, and following local guidance while keeping yourselves away from high-rise areas.

How can we stop wars and promote peace among the nations?.

Diplomacy and Dialogue:
Encourage diplomatic efforts to resolve conflicts in your local environment. The idea of war starts from home. Be open and honest in your communication or during negotiations.
Educate the people around you on the effects and costs of war. Many people get into conflicts ignorantly. Don't be pressured into a conflict by those who will not be affected or who will benefit from the conflict.
