My busy day, from cleaning to laundry and taking care of my boy: 4th April, 2025

It was Friday, 4th April, and I woke up feeling a mix of dread and determination. I knew it was going to be a busy day, but I was ready to tackle the tasks ahead of me. As soon as I finished my morning routine, I got started on the general cleaning of the house.

I put on some upbeat music to set the tone for the day and dived into dusting, vacuuming, and mopping. The house was a bit messy from the week's activities, but I was determined to get it sparkling clean.

Just as I was getting into the groove, my 3-year-old boy, Princewill, woke up from his nap and demanded my attention. I had to take a break from cleaning to feed him lunch and play with him for a bit. He's at that age where he wants to explore everything, so I had to keep a close eye on him to make sure he didn't get into any mischief.

After lunch, I managed to squeeze in some laundry work. I sorted the clothes, loaded for washing, and hung the clothes out to dry. Princewill, being the curious child he is, insisted on "helping" me with the laundry. He'd pick up a sock and try to put it in the washing bucket, or attempt to hang a towel on the clothesline. It was adorable, but it also made the task more challenging.

As the day went on, I started to feel the stress building up. The cleaning and laundry were taking longer than expected, and Princewill's constant demands for attention were exhausting. There were moments when I felt like I was going to lose my cool, but I took a deep breath and reminded myself that it was just a busy day.

Despite the chaos, I managed to get everything done. The house was spotless, the laundry was folded and put away, and Princewill was happy and content. As I sat down to rest and enjoy a cup of tea, I felt a sense of accomplishment and pride. It had been a stressful day, but I had survived it and even managed to enjoy some moments with my little boy.

As I looked at Princewill, who was playing quietly with his toys, I realized that these busy days are a small price to pay for the joy and love that he brings to my life. And with that thought, I felt my exhaustion melt away, replaced by a sense of gratitude and contentment.

As the night drew near, I started preparing jollof rice which we ate as our dinner and retired for the day.
