HELLO STEEMIT FAMILY,

Starting out in graphic design is exciting, messy and full of regrets but that is how we learn! If you are just stepping into this world trust me I have been there. Watching short tutorials, making silly mistakes, and realizing (too late) that layers exist. Here is my journey in a nutshell.

The "I Can Do This!" Phase (Spoiler: I Couldn’t)

I opened Photoshop for the first time and thought, How hard can it be? I slapped text on an image used the default filters, and called it a masterpiece. Then I saw professional designs and realized mine looked like a toddlers art project.

The "Tutorial Hopping" Addiction:

Every new technique required a 5 minute YouTube tutorial. Blend modes? Watched. Pen tool? Watched. Then I tried them myself and surprise it looked nothing like the tutorial. I kept jumping from one technique to another without mastering anything.

Lesson Learned: Practice one skill at a time instead of chasing every shiny tool.

The Tragic "No Layers" Mistake:

I designed an entire poster on a single layer. When I needed to tweak one element I had to start over. The regret was real. Layers are life now I use them like they are the part of life.And i recommend all the new students or beginners to use layes even if you are just making a line.

Lesson Learned: Always Use Layers.

The "Why Does My Design Look Off?" Realization

Alignment? Spacing? Color theory? I ignored them all. My designs felt unbalanced, but I couldn’t figure out why. Then I discovered grids, kerning and color palettes game changers.

Lesson Learned: Design principles exist for a reason. Learn them.

The "I am Still Learning, and That’s Okay" Mindset

I used to compare my work to professionals and feel discouraged. But every designer started somewhere. Now I embrace mistakes they are proof I am improving.

Final Lesson: Progress > Perfection. Keep creating!
