THE DAIRY GAME|31-7-2025 | Adobe & Existential Crises: A Day in My Unpredictable Peshawar Life:
The Marathon Begins at Qurtaba Campus:
As a dedicated Bano Qabil student, I embarked on my weekly pilgrimage to Hayatabad Qurtaba Campus for our 4 hour graphic design marathon. Armed with my laptop and enough determination to power through, I prepared to wrestle with Adobe's creative suite once again.Then an interesting and creative class started.
Graphic Design Class: Where Magic and Madness Collide;
Our instructor began with the usual pep talk:
Today we will make art, not war unless we are fighting with the Pen Tool again.
For the next 240 minutes (yes, I counted), we:
- Turned basic shapes into "masterpieces" (our instructor was very kind with his words)
- Discovered 50 new ways to accidentally create abstract art
- Learned that "Undo" (Ctrl+Z) is the most pressed shortcut in human history
The Great Peshawar Commute: Two Wheeled Survival Mode;
After class my epic cross-city journey began this time on my trusty (and slightly rebellious) motorbike: - First Leg: Dodged traffic like a Peshawari ninja weaving between cars with the precision of a graphic designer aligning pixels. - Second Act: Played "avoid the potholes" (spoiler: lost this game at least twice). - Final Stretch: Hit a mysterious "go fast" button (probably just my imagination) and transformed my bike into a temporary rocket at least until the next speed bump.
Pro Tip: In Peshawar your motorbike is not just transport it's your adventure partner, therapist and occasional fitness coach when you have to push it home.
Arctic Office Welcome:
Finally reaching the office, I stepped from Peshawar oven like heat into what felt like a walk in freezer. The temperature drop was so extreme I half expected to see penguins.
Pro Tip: Always carry a jacket in Peshawar not for the cold, but for office AC that think they are in Siberia.
Boredom Strikes: The Great Book Hunt;
With time to kill and my brain still processing 4 hours of design theory, I went on a quest through the office shelves. After rejecting:
- A 2015 tax manual (thrilling)
- An ancient computer handbook (retro, but no)
I struck gold:
"Mai Tho Aisa Sochta Hun" by Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmad Mangad.
Unexpected Life Lessons:
This philosophical gem served as the perfect brain cooler after my design marathon. The book's witty take on:
- Why we complicate simple things.
- How our minds love to play tricks on us.
- The art of thinking differently.
...was exactly what my Adobe exhausted brain needed.
That is all for today thanks for watching and your Support.
