Hello everyone!
In the whole world there are a lot of biryani lovers even spicy eaters. I am also a biryani lover which is tasty, delicious, and spicy. Today I will share the cooking of the delicious colourful chicken biryani with you.
We will have the need of the following ingredients:
- Rice
- Chicken
- Oil
- Chillies
- Black peppers
- Turmeric powder
- Onion
- Red colour
- Garlic
- Tomatoes
- Clove
- Other fine ingredients
In this recipe we will cook curry of chicken separate and we will boil the rice separately and then we will mix them to make colourful and delicious chicken biryani.
First of all we have taken rice in a container. I have washed these rice well to remove the dust from them. Then I have soaked the rice in the water to get long rice. We have to soak these for around 30 minutes but if we are using steam rice then we have to soak them more than thirty minutes.
I have cooked the chicken curry already. I have washed the chicken very well. Then I fried the chicken in the container. I added all the required green ingredients and other spices in the oil and baked them untill everything became brown. Then I added the fried chicken in the container. Then I cooked the chicken at low flame. It started spreading a delicious and appetising odour. I added some more water in the curry. I cooked it slowly slowly so that the taste can persist in the curry. It was cooked in the spicy way. After this we have boil the rice and mix this chicken curry in the boiled rice.
Now I have taken water in the wide container and I am continuously heating the water. In the water I have added a few spices such as black pepper, dar cheni, amaltaas, and some cloves. As I already soaked the rice in the water so now I added soaked rice into the container for the boiling purpose.
After adding rice in the water I boiled the rice for about 15 minutes. I was checking constantly and stirring the rice to avoid any burning problems. The rice were looking long and soft. A unique fragrance of the black pepper and clove was coming out of the rice and they were looking very soft.
Then I drained all the water from the rice by using a filtration container. This special container has small holes in it and when we pour the rice into this container the rice remains in the container and the water flows out of the rice.
Now it is the time to mix the delicious chicken curry with the boiled rice. It also needs care while mixing the chicken curry in the rice. We should not directly mix everything. We need to mix the rice with curry layer by layer to maintain the beauty and freshness of the biryani. Here you can I can I have made the first layer of chicken curry on the bottom of the container.
After adding first layer of chicken curry I added some rice on that chicken curry layer as you can see in the picture. Then I added more chicken curry on this layer. In this way we have to add chicken curry and boiled rice layer by layer.
This is the final layer. I have made a total of three layers with chicken and rice. At the bottom first is chicken then rice again chicken and again rice and similarly this is the final layer where the chicken is at the top. In this way the rice and the chicken will be mixed in a fine way without the clusters.
To make the biryani colourful this is the time to add some red colour into the rice. I got a small packet of red colour. I got a few quantity of the colour from the packet and mixed it well into the water. Now after making all the layers of chicken and rice at the top layer I have added some spoons of the colourful water on the rice.
After making the layers of chicken and rice and adding colour we have to close the rice container with the help of the lid as shown in the picture. Now we have to turn on a light flame. We need to cook it for about 5 minutes continuously with the low flame. During this last stage of cooking everything will be diffused with each other.
After the last low flame cooking now we need to mix the layers of the rice well. In this way all the rice will be mixed completely and the chicken curry will also be mixed completely with each single rice. The colour which we added will make the rice colourful adding a beautiful look. After mixing the rice I have shown this picture. Due to the steam it is not much clear but the colour delicious and appetising chicken biryani can be seen.
This type of biryani is often found at the shops and we can make it at home as well according to all the steps which I have provided here. It is not difficult we only need curry boiled rice and colour. We can take any colour of our choice.
