Good morning, beautiful people of this great community. I'm thrilled to be here and participate in the picture contest organized by our admin, @suboohi. Thank you, Sir, for your consistency and efforts in bringing us together.

Fresh corn and pear

The picture above is the focus of my discussion today. With corn and pear being in season, many people have been indulging in these fresh produce as much as possible. I've also been craving them, but unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to find a market where I can buy fresh ones to prepare myself. Usually, my options are limited to buying cooked or roasted corn and pear from the roadside sellers in the evening.

As I mentioned earlier, I've been craving fresh corn and pear, and had been hoping to buy some to prepare at home. However, it seemed impossible, so I had to suppress my cravings temporarily. But fate had other plans. My friend visited from the village, and to my surprise, he brought me a generous supply of fresh corn and pear. It was as if he knew exactly what I'd been craving. The corn was exceptionally soft and fresh, and the pear was a lovely bonus. What's more, he told me that the pear came from a tree in their family compound in the village. As for the corn, his students had given him some, and he decided to bring it all to me, knowing I'd appreciate it. His thoughtful gesture was a lovely surprise.

I didn't waste any time and quickly got to work, thoroughly washing the corn and putting it on the fire to cook. Since it was the soft variety, it cooked relatively quickly, taking only 25-30 minutes to become tender and fully done. I indulged in a generous portion, savoring the sweet corn and pear to my fullest. After satisfying my cravings, I shared the remaining corn with my neighbors, since there's love in sharing.

I couldn't help but feel grateful, thinking to myself, ''Finally, I've satisfied my long-standing craving for fresh corn'' I owed it all to my thoughtful friend, who had made it possible for me to enjoy this wonderful meal.
