From my perspective, I believe AI can be a threat and a tool at the same time, depending on how it's used or developed and its effect on our lives.

When AI is analysing vast amounts of data so as to identify potential security threats and prevent attacks, at such a point we see it as a tool that can protect our cyberspace. When it brings a revolution in industries, improves healthcare, and addresses complex global issues, AI is a tool, and the same applies when it helps the teacher create a beautiful and interactive lesson, a perfect result, and a beautiful outcome. But when a student uses the same AI to solve a homework, write a term paper, or a hacker employs the power of artificial intelligence to launch more sophisticated and highly personalised attacks, then all of a sudden, that same AI is now a threat.
If Hollywood were a prophet, it has for long been prophesying the end of humanity brought about by sentient cybernetic entities. In the days of Terminator Judgement Day, AI was not so advanced like the superintelligent AI systems that surpass human intelligence in all domains. It is believed to pose a threat to human existence if not aligned with human values.

◉ My opinion on the rise of AI?

At the moment, Artificial Intelligence is that genie who is out of the lamp. Waiting for our instructions. To me, it is like that sharp knife 🔪 you have in your kitchen which you use for cooking.It can be used to chop vegetables and prepare a delicious meal. That same knife can inflict serious injuries in the hands of a robber who broke into your home.
Even with this, we have not asked if knives are a tool or a threat. Standing on the same arguments in favour of guns, guns don't kill people. People use guns to kill people..

It's humans that make harmful use of AI, deploying it with bad intentions, or programming it to commit atrocities.

When incorporated into an AntiMalware or cybersecurity system, AI can quickly learn from patterns in massive datasets to identify and prevent disguised threats faster and efficiently..
AI can take up repetitive tasks and automate them, giving us more time to concentrate on task that requires the type of complex creativity that is only peculiar to humans.
When it comes to making informed decisions, AI-enhanced decision-making by sifting through vast amounts of data, providing insights that can help with good decisions. AI makes the smart who knows what they want to work smarter.

◉ What Are The Risks and Challenges of AI?

AI creates more confusion for those who want to solely depend on AI for a solution without making tangible contributions in the prompt.
In the wrong hands, AI-powered phishing Attacks can be so sophisticated that a target would hardly detect them.
Imagine the harm that deepfakes and Identity spoofing could wreak with the help of AI. A person can be impersonated, or a false photo presented as evidence.
Powered by AI, a malware can study a defence system and adjust its behaviour to avoid being detected.

Yes, I do use AI, and I am planning to learn how to make more efficient use of AI.

I want to learn how to use AI in the making of short videos and commercials. While the introduction of AI is like putting a tractor on a farm and sacking off workers, somebody will have to drive the tractor. So as a farmer on that farm, I will learn how to operate a tractor 🚜 and keep working with the new system.

Conclusion and Invitation

I believe AI is the winning team, and it is here to stay. I will be on the winning side, adjusting and learning how to make effective use of the technology while respecting the opinions of others. Where it is clearly indicated that AI content is not allowed. I respect the request with a waiting attitude.
