Week 1: "Around the World"
The Objective for the topic Around the world is to explore international cinema .I also want to share an Indian movie.The cinema of India is called Bollywood.

1. Watch a movie from a country other than your own country or not of your country's origin.

Today I watched a movie. I have seen this movie many times before, but every time I watch it, it feels like I am watching it for the first time. The combination of humor and serious dialogues has made this movie four times better. Then I came to know about this contest, so I thought, why not share it with you?

This is an Indian movie. Its name is Three Idiots. Three Idiots is a very interesting movie that was made in 2009. It highlights the deep friendship of three friends whose friendship started in college life, and their bond became stronger even after finishing college.

2. Talk about the main idea of the movie

The main idea of this movie is to learn through doing. Just reading books is not enough only by acting on what you learn can you achieve success. Learning by doing and strong relationships among friends is the theme of the film. Positivity and innovation are also involved in the movie. In the movie, we get the idea that we should emphasize learning by doing and neglect "rattaism" (rote memorization).

3. Share the characters

The three main characters of this movie are Rancho, Raju, and Farhan. Rancho is the main character of the movie. Raju belongs to a poor family who paid Raju's fees with great difficulty.

Farhan is a boy who got admission to this college because of his parents. He wants to become a photographer, but his father wants to see him as an engineer.

These three are classmates and come from distant areas to study at this college. They are staying in the hostel. Kareena Kapoor was also in the movie. Almost 10 characters are in the movie.

4.Describe the plot and setting of the movie

The plot of the movie is that three boys meet each other in college. They are roommates and become friends. Rancho (Aamir Khan) is an intelligent boy who believes in innovation and learning by doing. All the characters perform their roles very well.

The setting of the movie is also good. The principal of the college is strict and believes in idealism. All the friends get their degrees with great difficulty. The movie shifts between the present and the past.

Another thing I would like to say about this film is that the director has beautifully highlighted the domineering nature of the college principal, and how due to his behavior, a student committed suicide.

The three friends had different thoughts and situations. Rancho is a new thinker and a student who welcomes challenges. Raju belongs to a poor family and is facing very difficult circumstances because his family is having a hard time bearing the expenses of his education. So that similarly, Farhan has come into this field on the advice of his family, instead of following his own interests.

This film has a meaningful message. Rattaism has been rejected through this film. In addition to ourr humor, educational and social strategies, there is also an element of romance in this film, which makes it very enjoyable.

It has a beautiful combination of emotions, due to which this film became a blockbuster and won awards. Especially the acting of Aamir Khan, who is a versatile actor, has further enhanced this film. Even older children would want to watch this film again and again.

5. If you were the director of the movie, what would you do differently?

If I were the director of this film, I would have made it exactly like this because this film is perfect in every way. Yes, I would have changed only one thing the principal would have created a motivational atmosphere among the students so that the tendency of suicide would be reduced.
