"The Guardians of Silence"

They say that the trees can speak if you listen as long as if necessary not with words but with murmur of their leaves, whispering of branches and silence they can bring. When I took this shot, I felt like I had trespassed into a holy ground, that which is free from the hecticness of the world.

My dear steemians this trees in this picture are not only the plants; they are the silent watchers of the land. Tall and graceful, they seem to be whispering secrets to the clouds. Each trunk is weathered by the time, some are bent under the age while others stand tall as an attentive Elder. I remember me standing under their shade while the wind danced through their leaves, it would make a kind of almost musical sound. It felt like nature’s lullaby.

And this place was not covered by any map that I referred to. I stumbled across it while wondering around, lost in thought, trying to hide from the noise of city life. And then, there it was this grove of trees, gleaming in soft glow of morning. The way their branches filtered up the sun, creating fine shadows on the ground, it seemed as if one were dreaming.

So I just sat under one of the trees and closed my eyes and listened and there were no car horns, no voices and humans exhorting each other, no clocks just birds chirping to one another and the fluttering leaves like gentle clapping so I thought about all the people who had tread the same path, in search of peace, perhaps answers.

In that instance for me I did not have to move anywhere else so everything that I required was there in the power of those trees, the peace they offered, and in their beauty. I shot this photo to remember this day and to recall there the discovered truth:

At times, the most spectacular destinations are those that do not require anything but for you to stop, breathe and see them.
