"One Picture And One Story Week #81".
One picture can form memories and many stories. With the above picture I can simply recall that very day how I was so hungry and had no token in my pocket. Well God saw that I was actually hungry so after our Christian meeting that very day, one of our Christian brothers invited my brothers and me to a small gathering. We didn't know what it was, but we followed him. It turned out to be one of the best moments ever.
He had prepared Chicken Pepper Soup and bought us cold Malt drinks. We were seated and the aroma of the soup filled the room—my stomach started dancing immediately. We did not waste time; we took our bowls and started enjoying the food. The pepper soup was hot, spicy, and absolutely delicious. The Malt drink neutralized the heat, balancing all that just perfectly.
While we were eating the pepper soup, we talked, laughed, and just enjoyed each other's company at that very moment. We told some jokes, we also shared some reflection of what we learned from the meeting so far. It was not the food alone that made us so happy and joyful but also the love we had as Christian brothers and family. The love was present in the way we spoke to each other, the way we served the food to ourselves, and the way we just enjoyed the great moment together. The food and drinks find their way to each and every one of us to our satisfaction.
At that point, I simply could not hold or contain myself—I had to take beautiful pictures as memories. In the above picture, the food on the plates, the smiles, and the relaxed atmosphere reflect how jovial we were and I had to capture all that as memories to look up to.They are not just photos but reminders of a beautiful day that showed how far love and unity can go as Christian brothers.
I learned that day that family is not necessarily blood, but those who take care of you, who want the best for you, and who go out of their way to spend special times with you. It was simple, but it was meaningful.
So in all, looking back at those photos brings back the joy of that day. It was truly one of those moments that I will always remember.
