My story is one that, when I remember it, I still feel the shock of how I could have just lost a friend in what she knows nothing about.

It was a weekend, and my friend listed out all she needed to restock her foodstuff at home, got prepared and headed to the market driving in her car. When she got to the market, she parked her car at the market car park, where some men are paid to look after cars parked there. She took some bags from her car bout and went into the market to begin her shopping.

While she shopped, she had her phone and a small purse where she put her money; while she was buying, she put the purse where her money was into the sack bag; she also put in her items and held just her phone so she could hear when she got a phone call.

Whenever she gets to shop for whatever she wants, she drops the bag on the floor and bargains because the bag is heavy. This was how she continued until she got to a shop where another woman came to buy just like her and had the same bag as hers. When the other woman was done buying, she carried my friend's bag and left hers. When my friend was done buying, she put what she had bought into the bag to move to another point of shopping. She noticed her bag was not heavy; that was when she checked the bag's contents and noticed it was not hers.

So she began looking for the other woman when she found her and asked her why she carried her own bag instead of hers. The other woman, in turn, began screaming theif! Thief!! On my friend, people gathered and began beating my friend; my friend tried to explain nobody listened to her, and they kept beating her until a man who knew her came and asked them to stop.

My friend was asked by the man why she stole someone's bag. My friend explained to him that it was the other woman who stole her own bag and did not let her talk but began calling her a thief. So the crowd asked both women to list the bag contents, and my friend listed all she had bought into the bag, but the other woman could not and began to plead, saying it was hunger that made her steal my friend's bag so she could feed her family.

The crowd apologised to my friend and, in turn, started beating the other woman, saying to her that she would have made them kill an innocent woman. My friend also felt sorry for the woman ask them to stop, but they refused. So she hurriedly carried her bag and left the scene.

When she came back home, she had wounds all over her body and torn clothes. She cried while telling the story of how she would have lost her life.

I wonder how people can be this cruel calling another person you have stolen from a thief and watching people beat up her, which could have led to her death if not for the intervention of that man who asked to hear from my friend and make each woman listed the content in the bag. I think people should just ask for help when they don't have, instead of stealing and making the other person suffer.

Awwn 🫢 my pleasure ma'am 🤗

This is truly pathetic, I wonder how some people are so mean putting others in trouble. I thank God because she didn't lose her life. I think that people should always ask questions before reacting to some issues, what if they had killed her before the truth came out, will apology fix her life back? It is well!

People need to be heard on issues like this; a lot of innocent people have been killed without hearing their own side of the story.

Wow! What a touching story. Thanks to God for saving your friend, that's how people die for what they knew nothing about but that thief deserves to die because she's naturally wicked.if hunger was actually her problem she could have confined in her fellow woman for help instead of desiring to watch her beaten to death.
