Our seasonal Fruits
Our seasonal fruit (Mango).
It's true that every country has different seasons, and each season comes with its own fruit. This is a very educative contest organised by @ahsansharif, because we'll get to know about different seasons in other countries, and also the type of fruit these seasons yield. Let's get to know about my seasonal fruit by answering the following questions....
Which season are you enjoying right now? Is it your favorite? |
---|
I'm a proud Nigerian, and I'm currently enjoying the rainy season (beginning), which ranges from April to October. My favorite? Yes, rainy season is my favorite because of the features and blessings that comes with it. I can vividly remember few months ago, that was during the dry season, where almost all the Nigerian were complaining of heat, even when keeping the doors and windows open at night. It was trending all over the internet. That's one reason why I choose rainy season as my favorite, because everywhere will be cool, calm and enjoyable, that's a blessing.
It's always the best time to plant for the future.
It's my favorite season because this is when I go to the farm with my family to plant and sow seed for future germination. Cassava is always our number one priority when it comes to planting, so during the dry season, such plants can't survive, but during the rainy season, where the soil will be soft and nutritious, cassava, including other seeds can germinate and produce its fruit perfectly.
Beautiful flowers from plants during the rainy season
In addition to the Manure rainy season will add to the soil, another blessings that comes during the rainy season is that, it'll make our environment/planet looks greener and healthier. They're some plants that yields flowers, beautiful ones at that, and we can only discover this beautiful secret of nature during the rainy season, it's indeed my favorite season.
Which fruit is available in the market according to this season? |

These are the types of fruit available in the market according to this rainy season in my country, Mango, Avocado, and PawPaw. Traders from another villages, do bring these fruits to our community market, which operates once a week, to sell them for buyers. Some traders who bring this fruits to our community market plugg them from their compound, while others buy it from wholesalers and sell in retail.
Fruit like PawPaw is commonly planted in almost all the compound in my community, but in terms of Avocado and Mango, it's always rare to see them, because it requires a lot of space to grow it, due to its size and nature, of which most house owners don't have.
Do you like this fruit? If yes or no, tell us why. |

Yes, I like this fruit, if I don't like it, I won't be bragging about it as if I'm running ads for them, or some kind of ambassador stuff😁. I started developing my love for Mango fruit when I was 8, that was when I relocated with my family from Lagos State, to my current city, Uyo, where most of these fruits are planted because there's space for that here.
I like this fruit, and I made my friends like it too.
The love I have for Mango fruit transmitted like a disease to my friends, who weren't a fan of it, talkless of liking or eating it. As shown in the picture above, they're now Mango lovers just like me. I like this fruit so much, despite the fact that housefly will be following you when eating it in public😁.
I like Mango because they are nutrient-rich fruit that offers numerous health benefits. They are Rich in minerals and vitamins (Vitamin A and C), it helps strengthen the immune system, it fights off infection, it maintains a healthy vision, and the best reason why I like this fruit is because it helps improve skin health and reduce signs of aging. Off course, I don't want to get old so soon😁.
What is the market price of this fruit? Share with us the steem and local price of fruit. |
---|
Fruit | Steem Price | Local Price (Naira) |
---|---|---|
Mango | 0.84 (each ) | ₦200 (each) |
The market price of this fruit depends on the size. If it's the normal size shown in my cover photo, it still remains 200 naira and 0.84 Steem for one, but, if the size is small, it can be sold at the rate of 150 naira and 0.63 Steem per one. It doesn't matter if it's sold at the market, house or shop, that's the fixed price for now.
