3 Acts Of Kindness

Kindness makes the world go round, so I say. Alot of people have not experienced genuine love and a little act of kindness here and there can make a whole lot of difference in people life.

When you show kindness to good people. They appreciate it a lot and they will be indebted to you. If only we can learn to go out of our way to show more kindness, the world would be a better place.

First :I have a friend whose rent has been due some months ago and she was looking for where to stay. Well, she reached out to me and asked about where I was staying and after telling her the procedure of getting accommodation, she didn’t really show much interest until at the end of her stay in her former place. Over here, houses are very expensive and getting a good place to stay is very financially tasking.

She just reached out to me again a day to her rent expiration talking about not having where to go to. I was actually taken back cos I felt she wasn’t interested again but I had to go out of my way to reach out to the management of the facility where I stay.

They say that the gift of a man makes ways for the man. The manger wasn’t feeling fine and on getting to know about that, I had to offer to prepare chicken Peppersoup for her so that she would get well soon. As it is good for convalescence. This act of kindness to the manager helped to grant me listening ear to help my friend with where to stay.

After talking with her, she said there was no space in the facility but she would be able to do something which ordinarily she wouldn’t do but for me, that was how my Friend was able to get a place to stay and moved out the next day into the space. Making the manger a promise was a sacrifice in my path because I didn’t have much money with me but I had to use the last cash I had to do that just so that my friend will not be stranded.

She was thanking me for helping her out and I was glad I could help in my own little way. A little act of kindness through sacrifice can make a whole lot of difference.

Second: I had subscribed to a data plan with lots of data but short time to use it. I have a friend who needed data to use for her work. I couldn’t transfer this data so I had to call her to come share the data with me. All though the week we worked together and she had enough data for all her work for that week. She was very grateful at the end of the week and thanked me for helping her save some money. A little kindness can go along way to relieve people of stress.

Third: Sometime last month, I noticed one of the girls in our hostel eating more of noodles. I am not a noodles person and I only eat noodles when I don’t have money or any other good food alternatives. That singular act makes me nervous whenever I see people eat a lot of noodles. I assumed they don’t have food to eat especially when it’s eaten on a Sunday.

So this particular Sunday afternoon she was eating noodles again and I asked her this one you are eating noddles on Sunday afternoon, is all well? She laughed and said that that’s what she has to eat that she doesn’t have money. I knew it cos that happens to me too. Well, I told her that I cooked rice and I offered her some food to eat. I told her that she could go to the pot to take as much as she wants when she’s ready to eat. She was so happy and kept thanking me for helping her. A little kindness can go along way to put smiles on people faces.

Over time, I have given people food, money, clothes etc in a bid to show them kindness and help in one way or the other because I know that life sometimes can be hard but a little act of kindness can make a whole lot of difference in people’s life.
