How did you celebrate the first day of Eid Al Adha 2025?

For Eid Al Adha 2025, we all met and prayed for Eid at the mosque together with our family members and neighbors. All the people were surrounded by a peaceful and blessing-filled atmosphere as they greeted and wished each other joyfully.

When we were back, we entered the holiday season by preparing to do the Qurbani properly and traditionally. My father and uncles handled the killing while we arranged and gave meat to our relatives, neighbors, and people who needed it. I enjoyed being able to help and support others wherever I could

Did you offer Qurbani (sacrifice)? If yes, what animal?

Yes, on the first day of Eid Al Adha we carried out Qurbani. We are sacrificing a goat as part of the family. After Eid and the prayer, we got ready for Qurbani following all the required rules.

The religious acts were done attentively, always remembering what Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) did for God.

What are your favourite dishes to prepare and enjoy during the Eid days?

At the time of Eid, I always like to prepare and enjoy biryani, mutton korma, and kebabs. When Biryani is on the table, the aroma and spices caught their eyes, and every family member likes to savour it.

Cooked using a mixture of spices, mutton korma is a favorite dish that we eat with naan or rice. Most of the time, dates are included in the main Eid feast and enhance the look of the festive table.

How important is to distribute sacrificial meat among other people

Sharing the sacrificial meat is very significant and meaningful, not only for religion but also for social life. It displays the true essence of the festival, which involves supporting and standing with each other. Islam tells us that the meat should be separated into portions for our family, our close ones, and for anyone who is struggling.

By doing this, help for the less fortunate is given so that more people experience a happy Eid day. Positive religions unite people and create understanding and fairness among them.
