A Beautiful Day At Work With My Guy
Today was one of those rare, effortless days that felt like a warm breeze — calm, easy, and just right. Work usually feels like a routine, but everything changes when he’s around. The minute we walked in together, coffees in hand, smiles exchanged, the day already felt lighter. There’s something about being with someone who just gets you, even in silence, that makes the hours pass differently.
We worked side by side most of the day, exchanging glances between emails and meetings. It’s the little things that made it special — the way he’d check in with a soft “you okay?” during a busy moment, or how his laugh cut through the noise in the most comforting way. Even the dullest tasks seemed easier with him nearby, like the air carried less weight.
During lunch, we found a quiet spot outside under the trees. Nothing fancy — just takeout and good conversation. But those small, stolen moments reminded me how lucky I am. We talked about everything and nothing, our hands brushing, the sun catching in his eyes. The kind of connection that doesn’t need grand gestures, just presence.
Back at our desks, the afternoon moved quickly. There was teamwork, support, and that unspoken rhythm we’ve developed — the kind that only comes from spending time together, learning each other's pace. Before we knew it, the day was done.
As we packed up to leave, he reached for my hand and smiled. And in that simple gesture, I realized — it wasn’t just a good day at work. It was a beautiful one, made better simply because we shared it.
