Do you belong to the group of people that doesn't want to grow old?

I like that question since it actually puts me into serious thought about life. I believe aging is a natural course of things, it happens to all of us, yet it is not something I dread or avoid. I worry less about not growing at all, not learning, or not collecting the most of my years. No, so I would not say that I am one of them. Rather, I am a person who will enjoy aging with grace, acquiring a new story, a new outlook, and, hopefully, wisdom. So every new year is associated with new experiences and opportunities. Therefore to me, it is not about not wanting to age but to take whatever that will come along the way and enjoy life to the fullest.

What are the characteristics of old age?

Old age is that stage in life where an individual physically as well as emotionally transforms. Among the most significant changes, it is possible to note the decreasing speed of the movements, the lack of energy, and the higher susceptibility to health issues. The senses, such as sight and hearing, can weaken and memory can be not so sharp. Simultaneously, it is usually accompanied by the enrichment of wisdom and knowledge, the retrospective analysis of life experience, and the increased skills of being able to enjoy the present.

There can be a higher appreciation of relationships, and an emphasis on bonding and on reconciliation. Other individuals might be less engaged in daily activities or work and opt to do what they love or hobbies that make them happy. In general, old age is a mixture of physical decay and full maturity, life gained and another level of insight.

What are you doing to stay healthy during old age.

I am paying attention to my physical and mental health. I am attempting to consume a well-balanced diet with lots of fruits, vegetables, and good protein. I have a major priority of staying active whether it be walking, stretching and easy yoga to keep my body strong and flexible. I also create some time to relax, read and do hobbies that make me happy and relieve stress. Also keeping in touch with friends and family members keeps me mentally alert and my spirit soaring. Notably, I am frequenting my doctor as I meet the check-up schedule and adhering to their instructions. These little things go a long way towards ensuring that I have a healthy, meaningful and fulfilling old age.

At what age can we call someone an old person.

Defining what age a person is regarded as old may depend on culture, health or lifestyle but generally, we regard a person as elderly when he or she is in sixties or seventies. Others claim that the age of 65 is usually a general baseline, considering that most people around this age leave employment and ease their pace of life. But age is not just only a number it's also a state of mind, physical capability and being independent.

There are individuals who are active, healthy and energetic even in their eighties or even nineties whereas others may indicate that they are slowing down much earlier. So there is actually no specific age when a person is considered to be old- it depends on the health condition of the person coupled with his lifestyle and the perception that he has towards his capacity to enjoy his life.
