Old age and the joy it brings.

It is certainly true that when we get old it is only by the grace of God. I see all the old age as a blessing which was given to us by the almighty father, having old people in our family shows that we are also in the line of getting old. I advise everybody to make sure that they take good care of their older ones, treating elders in society with respect and love; this will make them feel important and also boost their daily life by giving them great memories every day.

Do you belong to the group of people that doesn't want to grow old?

I do not belong to those who don't want to grow old. I consider old age as a source of joy and a well-spent life. Growing old doesn't mean that we didn't make mistakes that could cost our lives; it is only a reflection that we are lucky but found favor in the sites of God. How can an individual decide that he doesn't want to grow old? This means that you are just satisfied with your position as the younger generation; it is said that with age comes wisdom.

I want to grow old seeing my children's children as my grandparents have, my grandparents are all alive, I continue giving thanks to God for his mercy upon my grandparents because not all of the individuals that are of their age are alive today, I always pray in my heart for God to grant me long life and property, for the bible says that "honor your father and mother for your days to be long.

What are the characteristics of old age?

Old age is characterized by various physical, social, and mental changes. This change usually occurs as a result of changes in organ and tissue function; the brain also becomes less effective in producing quick answers to questions. When a person gets old, hearing and vision may diminish; this is because the organs present in the ear works in accordance with the major organs, making listening to conversations difficult.

Moreover, old age also comes with muscle weakness; this occurs because some waste products remain in the body, causing the bones to be less flexible; it is also normal for people in their 70s to develop irregular balance because the bones have become weak, which causes them to fall from time to time. Another relevant characteristic of old age is the increased rate of obtaining diseases. When adults get old, the immune system gets weak, leading to easy contact with conditions like diabetes, arthritis, cardiac arrest, and even cancer.

Old age is not just a time when your body will be the same as you were young, which is why there must be visible changes that can easily convince an individual that, yes, this man or woman is in her old days. Another factor that clearly shows that someone is old is the case where the skin becomes thinner and more prone to sudden wrinkles. As a man leaves his youthful stage and steps into old age, recent memories then be affected, and the long-term memories are still intact; you may wonder why your grandmother can still tell you what happened on the day she gave birth to your father.

Once a person becomes old, the ability to learn and master new skills becomes difficult due to the way the brain processes things. Old age can deprive elders of learning what will be of great benefit to them; this is why it is always said that we should catch them young, entailing that the younger you are, the faster it is to learn. When people become old, there is more tendency for them to change their roles, like retiring from work and shifting their roles to maintain good health during this old age.

Lastly, old adults mostly require support with their daily activities; in most cases, they can bathe themselves because of how weak the body has become. They may also require help to move from place to place; sometimes, adult in their 80s hardly eat on their own. When old adults are not taken care of properly, they can isolate themselves, leading to loneliness, which can then result in anxiety, trauma, and depression.

What are you doing to stay healthy during old age

During old age, we are all expected to stay healthy; cells and organs have become weak and function less. To stay healthy during old age, we are to ensure that we engage in physical activities and exercise daily. For example, this is the amount of going for walks and consuming food that contains the necessary nutrients that can nourish the body during old age. The most important nutrients that old people require are vitamins. This vitamin can help the body to stay strong and fight against bacteria, which can harm the immune system.

When people are old, they need maximum rest, which is why I added sleeping to this list to stay healthy during old age. As the body ages, the need for rest increases, which is why those need to calm their mind and rest regularly to prolong their lifespan. To stay healthy during old age, we are also expected to see a medical practitioner if any certain changes occur in our health, like difficulty in sleeping and muscle contractions.

As people age, they have fewer people to interrupt them, which is why we are respected to spend quality time with young people to decrease their risk of suffering anxiety and depression. This is where individuals can be expected to visit friends and family and also stay when a positive mindset and do things that make them happy, this helps organs to function properly, especially when you are happy, depression can lead to high blood pressure causing other diseases to wake up from where they where to attack the immune system.

At what age can we call someone an old person?

For me, once someone gets to his or her 70s, he or she is considered to be old. Because most individuals who are at this age can not be seen as young in their physical appearance. Method of reasoning and words of wisdom.

I wonder about this

Old age can deprive elders of learning what will be of great benefit to them;

I don't see the benefit of dying braincells, you?
