Do you belong to the group of people that doesn't want to grow old?

I am the type of person that always prays for good health and long life. I want to grow old only if God permits; I will be so happy for that gift and His mercy. Growing old is a blessing, particularly if your grandson comes to visit you on a weekend basis; you will be so happy to witness this joy. Old age brings us happiness by narrating all those experiences to your son or daughter so that it can be useful to them at the near future.

Old age is a blessing where your daughter or child will take care of you by giving you all the necessary things of life. I have seen a son who built a nice house for an old age father for the knowledge he imparted on him as well as good upbringing.

What are the characteristics of old age?

As you become old, you will experience certain changes in the body in which some of the organs will continue to decline. Here are the following characteristics of old age:

• Health challenges :- Older adults may face serious illnesses like diabetes, joint pain, dementia, and so on, all of which would affect their stability.

• Decrease in movement :- As a person grows old, their strength will decline to the extent that they would not be able to move from one place to another. These are physical characteristics that affect old age.

Whereas, cognitive characteristics are:

• Experience :- Many older adults are full of experience and wisdom, which they would use in decision-making

• Change in memory :- Some older people face a decline in memory loss, which affects their cognitive behavior, while others possess sharp memory, allowing them to narrate what happened to them at a young age.

What are you doing to stay healthy during old age

• Regular exercise:

Daily exercise help us to live better. exercise reduce the pain in the human body those who are obesity need to watch their weight because they are at risk of death. its good to use staircase instead of elevator in order to live long life.

• Eat healthy food:

Eat quality food can protect us from falling sick as well as to improve our healthy living. eating good food contain essential diet will have positive impact in our live.

• Having enough sleep:

Having a lot of sleep help us to be more healthy. people who don't have enough sleep will fall sick or not be able to remember anything. Sometimes they may not be able to concentrate in problem solving. We must try to sleep for at least for 8hours in order to improve our creativity.

• Stop Smoking:

We must quit smoking because it will damage some vital organs in our body such as liver. People who are above 60years and have been smoking for a long time should stop it in order to improve their health.

At what age can we call someone an old person.

In some countries, older people start from 60 years and above, making them eligible for social programs. Older people refer to senior citizens who receive many benefits from the government. The definition of old age varies from one country to another. Although most developed countries consider 65 years as the age of retirement to determine old age, in sub-Saharan Africa, they consider 50 years as old age, which is more common in developing countries. These elderly individuals contribute positively to society, and we must include them in our community to move forward.
