The Diary Game Contest #72 (10/03/2025) I've taken on double duties at work following a colleague's resignation

Beautiful morning my beautiful ladies in the house, trust you all had a peaceful night rest, as for me, God is always faithful and He will continue being faithful to everyone of us. I'm here to participate in this diary contest organized by @steem4ladies.

I woke up as early as 5:30am that morning, did my morning devotion before starting my daily activities. After cleaning the room and tidying everything around the house, then I went and took my bath from there I also brushed my teeth.

Got prepared for work, and took a breakfast of tea, bread and boiled eggs for my breakfast, before I stepped out to work.

As I stepped out to work, arriving the office l, I saw one of my colleague sitter outside, so I joined her while we wait for our supervisor to come open the office because she is always with the key.

As she finally came, we all went inside and did the morning prayer before opening the shop fully. In that process of opening the shop and also trying to clean up the store, I noticed that one of our colleague has not yet come and the time is way passed her normal time of coming.

So I quickly ask my supervisor if the person has taken permission from her that she will be coming late or anything, but my supervisor said no, that was when the other of my colleague came over to where we were standing and handle a resignation letter to our supervisor saying that the it was brought from this my colleague earlier today to submit before she left.

I was surprised personally but my supervisor said that she had a feeling about her resignation because of the attitude she started putting on over the last week.

So as it is now, I have to be doing both her duty and mine everyday, both the cleaning and arranging of goods in the store, you know what that means...🙆

When I was done with the cleaning and arranging of goods items both outside and inside, I was asked to change the clothes on all the mannequins.

There were four of them to be dressed, two female and two male mannequins. After I was done dressing them I had to take a pic of one of them, because it wasn't easy to do that, I mean dressing something that has no life, you can't tell him raise your hand up or do like this, you just have to struggle on your own till the end.

I and my other colleague were so tired and feeling so exhausted after all the thorough cleaning of the big store and arranging of the goods, we just find a place and rested a bit, we so much thank God that there was no customer LS coming in that morning to start stressing us again, so we relaxed enough.

Few hours later, it was time for our lunch break, my colleague decided to go first since her hunger was intense as she didn't eat anything from the house. When she returned I went to eat mine.

I did not take much time there, besides I wasn't having appetite again to eat, that was because I didn't feel like eating that kind of food, just that it was the only food I had at home to bring.

I covered back the food and keep, then went inside to my seat and wait for potential customers.

Later on I put a called across to that my colleague to find out her reason of resigning, though we all have been complaining that this present job is not good for us due to the pay, the stress and also the time, especially the closing time. We have talked to our supervisor concerning it and how it can be adjusted for us but she said no, that it has been like that before we stared working there and that they can not change it.

So we agreed within ourselves that when we see another new job we will apply and then leave here. So while talking to my colleague on phone she told me she has resumed a new job that's far better than what we are doing x2, I was surprised that she didn't even hint any of us, that she has been applying for jobs or have gotten it, anyways, I was happy for her and I wished I will also get something better than this one to do.

I just sat there in my corner thinking about my life and how I can also get a new good job.

It was time for our closing and we pack in the goods item we displayed outside for advertisement inside and locked the shop and left.

I didn't go back home straight, I went to the market to get food stuff to cook. Before entering the market I had to stop by the bank and use the 🏧 for withdrawal.

After I was done with the withdrawal, I went inside the market and began buying all the food items that I needed, then went back home.

As I got home, I started the preparation quickly with the help of my neighbor's child I was able to finished up in time and them we ate the food afterwards.

It was after I finished eating before I went and took a cold shower and went straight to bed, since I didn't want to do anything with my phone because of all the stress I passed through during the day.
