Weekly Drawing Contest 45 | Drawing Of Computer Mouse
Hello my dear friends
How are you all I hope you are all doing well and are happy
I am also fine and very excited today I am participating in a fantastic contest organized by @m-fdo in the STEEM FOR INDONESIA community
The topic for this 45th weekly contest is Drawing Of Computer Mouse which I find very interesting and fun
I have drawn a computer mouse with a lot of effort and love and I am very happy to share it with you all
I hope you like my artwork
Step 1 Getting the Idea and Reference
Since I do not have my own computer mouse to photograph I decided to use a reference image from the internet
It is very important to use pictures that are free to use so I chose a simple and clear image from a copyright free website
This helped me understand the shape buttons and shadows of the mouse

Step 2 Drawing the Basic Outline
I started my drawing with a light HB pencil
First I carefully drew the main oval shape of the mouse body
Then I added the lines for the left and right buttons
The most important part was to get the curved shape of the mouse correctly
I drew very lightly so that I could easily erase and correct any mistakes
This step is the foundation of the whole drawing
Step 3 Adding Important Details
After the outline was perfect I began adding the details
I drew the scroll wheel in the center and the line that separates the two buttons
I also added the cable coming out from the front of the mouse
I used a sharper pencil for this to make the lines clean and precise
Detailing makes the drawing look real and complete
Step 4 Shading and Final Touch Up
The last step is my favorite shading
I used a 2B and 4B pencil to create dark and light areas
I looked at the reference photo to see where the light was coming from and shaded the opposite side darker
I used my finger and a blending stump to smooth the shading and make it look realistic
Finally I used a clean eraser to create bright highlights on the mouse especially on the scroll wheel and the top curve
This makes the drawing pop out

Here is my completed drawing of the computer mouse
I am very proud of how it turned out

Conclusion
I had a wonderful time drawing this
It was a great practice for my shading skills
