Basirpur is an old historical city situated in Punjab, Pakistan. It is more than 500 years old and is called Basirpur Fort. It was the last city of many empires near Delhi and was a central hub of connection between various states. After 1857, the British occupied the subcontinent, and they considered the city an important transportation and communication source. They spread railway lines across this city, which highlights the importance of the city to other cities, because this city is situated near the Satluj River and carries great importance for trade.

Today, in this blog, I am going to pin a beautiful and historical place in this city, which is known as its railway station. And I hope that you will read it to the end.

In this complete post, I will show you an old railway station in this city, which is not in use at present, but its building is still preserved with all the equipment that was used in the past.

The First picture shows a view of the old railway station waiting area where people used to sit to wait train, and on the arrival of the train, they moved onto the train from this side. It is an old building with a wide opening, and it is a very bright hall which was always beautiful and shiny.

This picture shows a side view of a railway office, an old railway office. And on the wall, it is written in Urde, office. This is an old and you can see it has been abandoned; it's not in use, but people still visit it. They see it, but nobody cares about it; it is a reality. It was a beautiful place, and about 50 years ago it was active, but due to financial reasons and railway updates, this station was closed, and a new building was rebuilt 50 meters away from this building.

If someone comes to the backside of the railway office, this view will surely look at him, in which you can see a fully abundant building with two rooms only and a small corridor. It was the place where tickets were distributed among the people, their luggage was checked, and information about the arrival and departure of trains at this railway station was given. It is a small building, but it was suitable for this small town at that time. But nowadays a new building is much bigger than this one.

This picture shows a front view of a station's office building. It has two airways and a small room in rectangular room. It was a cubed-shaped room, but with time, its shape and structure were not preserved, and it started to dissolve into the soil, and therefore, only a little rectangular structure remains.

You can see in this picture. But still, many people see it. They became a wonder because it was closed 50 years ago.

This object, an amazing thing, the word is abundant, has been written on it. According to my information, it was used to water the railway station when it stopped at the station. Well, it has been closed for the last 50 years and nobody on this station or in the city, except the railway master, knows what its real function was. I tried to connect people to ask them what its function is, but nobody knew about it. Still, according to my belief, as some people gave vague answers, it is a water system to provide water to the train for long journeys.

The big water pipe I showed you in the previous picture or section takes water from this water tank. It is a water tank, and it also looks like a water tank. It is made of strong iron, the same category of iron from which the railway lines are made. Now it is black and rusted from crude, and it is still not in us, but it is still in its place. Railway police take care of tit and it is also a puzzle for many people.

This is the only indicator around the railway line that is still activated nowadays. As I have told you that a new railway station has been built, which I will visit you soon in another blog to pin on the world map. This is an indicator or a signal that is used to signal to the railway whether it should come on proceeding or not. The story of this object is interesting, and if I started to discuss it, it would surely be very prolonged. But one thing I want to tell you is that it indicates to the train whether it should move forward to change the track or not. If more than one train is present on the railway track.

This is a silly visit to the old railway station in my city.
