Hope you all are staying happily. I am going to share with you today a time spent with Panadol. This was actually a meeting that gathered information about drugs. This meeting was held at the Owinmo Hotel premises. During this friendly meeting that was held from 9 am to 1 pm, we were taught a lot about Pharmacy practices. Of course, during this time, many things were discussed, such as how drugs should be used and how drugs are misused.

The event started with a presentation on Panadol manufacturing. Panadol is very popular all over the world and globally more than 80 countries used this brand for relief of pains. In our country, Panadol was initially imported from abroad and now a manufacturing facility has been established in Sri Lanka. The environment inside the Panadol manufacturing facility is different from the outside. Therefore, we were able to see from the videos how the activities are carried out very carefully and responsibly so that the same environment exists only inside. Since the owner of Sahana pharmacy was present at this meeting with us, we requested them to provide us with an opportunity to see this manufacturing facility with our own eyes. They happily accepted it and promised to plan all the activities in the future.

The speech that resonated with me the most was the worth speech given by Chula Edirisinghe. I felt that there is a lot of knowledge to be gained from his speech. When we are sick or have a problem, we should be very careful about the medicine we take. Because if we take them incorrectly, there is a possibility of side effects. However, our health is determined by the lifestyle we lead. Our body is susceptible to various diseases depending on the food we eat, the work we do, the mental stress we experience, and the air we breathe.

During the two and a half hour meeting, we were treated to a welcome drink, breakfast, lunch and dessert, rich food. After all that, everyone who participated was given a certificate and everyone was encouraged. That was how the day was spent.
