Better Life with Steem|| July of fruitfulness -3rd July 2025.
Just this morning, whilst complaining about the rains, and how it now falls everyday, my mum asked if I didn't know that July is the main rainy seasons and then it struck me. My birth month is the month where all living things are constantly watered by the heavens and become fruitful. All of a sudden I stopped being sad about the rains and started seeing the positive side to it.
This is true for a lot of situations and predicaments we face in life. Just became it isn't going the way we envisage doesn't mean it's all negative. Flip your view and try seeing from the positive angle. You may find something worth holding onto.
If you've read up to this point, you'd already know it's a rainy morning and the rains came early. As early as 7:12am, the rains had started pouring down with a vengeance, talk about an intentional month👏👏. The only set of people I have some form of compassion on are the school students who will have to dash out under this weather to school, every other person will be fine😁.
My street that bustles with noise from commuters going about Thier business is eerily quiet due to the rains. The streets are even dry with just 1 or two persons braving it out.

While I wait for the rains to subside, I dive into the pages of this great book.

A bit of a background story : While growing up, I had a love for books, anything readable😂, newspapers, magazines and the like, but I wasn't interested in anything finance or money, majorly because I didn't understand the way the real world operated. If I needed funds, of course, mum and dad were there, walking breathing ATM, so whenever I chanced upon this book or the like among my father's collection, I would shift it to the side and move on, but look who's poring through them now😂😂 and might I say, it's worth my while.
Hopefully the rains will let up for a bit so I can go buy some chicken feed. They've eaten the last of the remaining feed this morning so it's expedient we get more. This just makes me wonder at how God feeds and provides for us, because I mean, the birds are in their cages, no work, no thought of what to eat or drink, but they know that food will come when due, where it comes from doesn't concern them, how much more does our heavenly father think about us??
My mum came back not long after the rain stopped and discovered a lot of weeds had grown around the corner she planted. She immediately got to work and started clearing it.

While taking shots of her, I looked and saw that our planted curry stems were black. I had never seen them like that before and so I wondered aloud because this was the rainy season and every plant was supposed to blossom, so why were they black??
Mum explained to me that these branches were already dead before the rains came, hence the reason for their looks.
What other reason do you think there could be for it??

After we had removed the weeds, we applied some fertilizer to help the corn grow better. We have a poultry farm so our fertilizer is basically dried chicken poop. As the rains had subsided, I stepped out quickly to get some gas from the gas station before they close.
Here I made a new discovery. You see this rubber band, I see it casually used at the gas station but I didn't know what it does. The gas operator explained to me that this rubber keeps gas from seeping out of the can after a refill or even during use. This is the reason why even though a gas cylinder might be bad, it won't explode because of this little rubber band.

Anyways, by this time, I was ready to call it a day. I was tired and spent. How did your day go???
