What does August break really mean? - Do the rains take a break from falling or do they intensity??. While everyone celebrates the new month, I'm plagued with questions about the weather partly due to the fact that I need to wash my clothes, but the ones that are on the clothes line haven't dried up in the past 3 days of non stop rain.

What is it about this weather that makes the body systems shut down and an otherwise workaholic would nothing but to stay indoors??

Relaxer had been bought, my hair had been loosened, then the rains came.
All I could do was attend to the birds, by putting more charcoal into the fire we lit for them. We just got a new set of day olds 3 days ago and so far we've lost a total of 5. Once the weather becomes cold, they cluster together and in the process a stampede ensues, one or 2 birds die. Once I'm done with that, I put on my socks, and head for my bed. There's no light so my phone has even been on red. I pull up the covers of my bed, and off to sleep.

It's 3pm and I'm hungry. I head out for a bit to satisfy my cravings of hot puff puff and a beverage. The streets tell the story of a watery day, but like always, mother earth is ever ready to swallow the water though there are still residues on the ground.

A good number of shop owners braved it and opened their shops. I can see welders welding iron fences, and general merchandise stores open by the road sides.

Here the heat of the ever blazing fire warms up everyone that chances into their stall. This is the famous snacks stall by the main road and during rainy and cold times like this, I like to believe they make the most sales as people are in need of food that warms up their insides. Already there a throng of customers and the sales guy is having a hard time keeping up with the many customers who are calling his name at the same time all vying for them to be sold to first.

I know I don't have the strength to join the shouting spree, so I want my turn, even though sometimes another customer shouts him to their direction. Once the large crowd disperses , he focuses on me. Call it camaraderie or just humain interaction,a little conversation by the side, it's the stuff that makes life meaningful.

I have children in the house who will be waiting for some so I've added their lot so I can eat mine in peace😂.

Can i find a movie to unwind with or a good book to read??, the it becomes better.
