A Fresh Start with a Haircut

Today, I finally decided to cut my hair after months of letting it grow wild and uneven. It may sound simple, but for me, getting a haircut always feels like hitting the reset button.

This morning, the weather was cloudy but cool. I walked to the nearby barber shop, the same one I’ve been going to since last year. The barber greeted me with a smile and asked, “The usual?” I nodded, and the buzzing of the clippers began.

As the hair fell to the ground, I felt a strange sense of relief—like letting go of stress and clutter from the past weeks. It wasn't just about looking neat again, but about feeling a little more in control of myself.

🪞 Why Haircuts Matter to Me

A haircut, for some, is just routine. For me, it’s part of self-care. It gives me a chance to pause and take care of myself in a very visible way. Plus, who doesn’t like that fresh, clean look right after stepping out of the barbershop?

After the cut, I stopped by a small coffee stall and treated myself to an iced latte. I looked at my reflection in the glass window and smiled—“new hair, new energy.”
