A Serene Morning – Waking Up in the Village

There something incredibly special about waking up in a village. This morning I woke up just after Fajr. As I open my eye I could hear the soft chirping of bird and the distant crowing of a rooster. The cool morning breeze enter through the window and gently brushed my face it was fresh pure and fill with the scent of tree and field.

I stepped outside for a moment and saw the village slowly coming to life. Women sweeping their courtyards children running barefoot and smoke rising from mud stoves where breakfast was being cooked. It was such a grounding feeling no rush no noise just the simplicity of life. After that I got fresh and joined my family for breakfast. We had traditional paratha chai and some anda (egg). Eating together on the floor surrounded by laughter and early morning calmness made it even more special.

Work Mode On – Visiting Khala’s House for Online Tasks

Once breakfast was done I grabbed my bag and headed over to my khala’s (aunt’s) house. She lives just a short walk away. The sun had started to rise fully by then casting golden light over the village streets.

Khala’s house is like my second home peaceful quiet and filled with warmth. I found my usual corner sat with my laptop and began my online work. The internet connection was thankfully stable and I managed to get a good amount of work done. While working I enjoyed a cup of hot chai made by my khala she always adds extra cardamom which makes it so flavorful.During short breaks I chatted with her. She shared stories from her youth village tales and some advice as elders often do. That combination of productivity and meaningful connection made my morning feel fulfilled.

Refreshing Rooftop Moments – Enjoying the Weather

By midday the weather started to turn cooler. Thick clouds floated above and a lovely breeze began to blow. So we all decided to go up on the chat (rooftop) to enjoy it.SubhanAllah the view from up there was breathtaking. You could see green fields stretching endlessly with small mud houses scattered around. The wind was cool and strong the kind that make your dupatta dance and bring a smile without a reason. We sat there for a while just enjoy the breeze sipping tea and talk about life. These moment where there is nothing but nature conversation and peace are the ones that truly nourish the soul.

Afternoon Adventures Visiting Relatives

IMG-20250704-WA0005.jpg

After some time we decided to visit some of our close relatives in the village. Village visits are never rushed they’re full of warmth hugs food and endless conversations. As soon as we arrived they welcomed us with love and served us mithai and rooh afza. We sat together in the verandah shared updates laughed at childhood memories and bonded like only families can. The children played around us while the elders shared their wise thoughts. That sense of belonging is unmatched.

Cousin Time – Play Laughter & Love

IMG-20250625-WA0030-1.jpg

When we returned home lunch was already prepared by my phupo. We all sat together ate with our hands and thanked Allah for the delicious food. After lunch I spent time with my little cousin the youngest member of our family and definitely my favorite. He has so much energy and never runs out of questions or ideas for play. We played hide and seek built small house out of pillow and even create imaginary game with stick and leave. His innocent laugh echoed through the house and it remind me of the importance of living in the moment. Children teach us how to be joyful without a reason.

Cutest Surprise Playing with a Baby Chick

One of the highlights of the day was a tiny chuza (baby chick) at my khala’s house. It had recently hatched and was the cutest little fluff ball yellow chirpy and full of life. All the kids including me gathered around and took turns gently petting it and letting it hop on our palms. It was so delicate yet fearless. We laughed as it tried to peck at our fingers and run around our laps. That little chick brought so much happiness in such a short time proof that joy comes in the simplest forms.

Evening Fun – Cooking Together as a Family

As evening set in the cool breeze returned and the sky began to turn orange and pink. Everyone started feeling hungry again. Instead of asking just one person to cook we all gathered in the kitchen cousins aunties and even the little ones. Cooking together was honestly more fun than eating. We laughed teased each other shared stories and even danced a little while the roti puffed up.When everything was ready we sat together in a circle on the floor passed around the dishes and ate with full hearts and grateful souls.

Closing Thoughts – Grateful for the Village Life

As I sit here writing this diary entry I can still feel the peace of the day around me. The cool air outside the sound of crickets the scent of fresh soil after sunset it’s all still there.I thank Allah for giving me these moment and this life. I would not trade it for anything.

Yara ho za bemar yum dear gad wad yum.. ma tata we che kha post de kare de

Wa alaikum salam wa rahmatullah dear @isha-rehman,

Reading your diary felt like taking a peaceful walk through your beautiful village day. Every detail — from the chirping birds at Fajr to the laughter in the kitchen at night — was filled with heart and gratitude, MashaAllah.

Your love for your family and nature… you express them so well. It’s incredible how you capture the spirit of village life — the tranquility, sense of community and barakah that’s often lost sight of in the hurly-burly of city life. The part where you talked about playing with your little cousin and that cute baby chick seriously toooched my heart!

May Allah always bless you with such peaceful days, meaningful connections, and a heart that continues to find joy in life’s simplest gifts. Thank you for allowing us a glimpse of your peaceful world — it really did bring me a moment of calm and a smile.

@anthony002 JazakAllah khair for your beautiful words they truly warmed my heart. I am so grateful it brought you peace. May Allah bless you always with calm and joy.
