in STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE11 months ago

Hi everyone hope you all are good and safe,

Today's post is all about awareness and safety. We take safety and security for granted, and in return, we face a big loss that shakes us to our core. A sudden incident can change your life, so take precautions before anything bad happens. Yesterday, my khala(aunt) experienced a tragic robbery while traveling. The reason to share this story is to raise awareness about safety.

The Incident

Yesterday my aunt, uncle their children, and my maternal uncle were headed somewhere in their car when five robbers along with weapons and bamboo sticks stopped them and demanded to hand over all the valuable things they had. There were four mobiles one wallet and a purse but luckily the wallet and an expensive mobile were spared from the robbers.

Presence of mind

In the middle of this frightening situation, my uncle's presence of mind played a vital role in the situation. He managed to hide his wallet and an expensive mobile he also told others to hide their mobiles as well, but my aunt and maternal uncle and their children were scared, and this absent minding resulted in the snatching of their valuable things, but uncle's presence of mind played a crucial role. Unfortunately, other things were taken. That's why the presence of mind and quick thinking is very necessary in these type of situations.

Emotional Impact

These sudden incidents not only result in the loss of valuable things but also leave an emotional impact. The robbery leaves a strong impact on my family. My aunt even struggled to breathe properly and the kids were also terrified. The sense of fear was difficult for them as it was their first encounter.

Safety First

This incident made us realize how important safety is and how important being prepared. Here are some safety precautions you should be prepared for:
Always be alert of the area you are traveling in, and never choose the less populated areas for traveling.

Always carry a cheap and less expensive mobile and less cash with you in case they are furious then hand over the cheapest mobile you have because your life is most important, if you are alive you will earn money and buy a mobile also they will return to you but your life will never come back.

Keep your valuable items hidden in a secure place in your vehicle or anywhere when you are traveling.

If you think that carrying a lot of cash is not necessary then always carry less cash with you and avoid carrying expensive mobiles with you, because safety always comes first.

If you notice something suspicious, take action or report it to the police immediately.

Conclusion

By sharing my family's story. My main purpose is to raise awareness about the importance of safety and security. So let's work together and make this environment robbery-free and a much safer environment for people to travel safely. If you guys have any stories, suggestions, tips or experiences let's share them and raise awareness among people.
