Friday Shopping at An Indian Store

in STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE2 days ago
I generally go for shopping on weekends but when shopping in an Indian Store I prefer Friday evenings because it's lesser crowded on weekdays.

Last Friday evening we were at Bharat International store which is my favorite Indian shop in Canberra that caters for South Asian countries so I parked my car and entered.

They are expanding their shop so this sign post directed us to the grocery section.

As usual, the wheat flour was our first requirement so here we are.

Then we bought a pressure cooker

We picked a Dosha batter pack 2kg (don't know dosa batter? Google it)

We the Indians can't survive without oil so we bought different cooking oils including mustered, peanut and olive.

Packed food and vegetables are our favorite so we spent a lot of time here.

Adding a few kitchen accessories is a nice idea because we don't get them anywhere else in Australia but here.

We don't get this quality of Indian vegetables anywhere else, not even in Coles or Woolworth.

More vegetables

What is Indian food without sauce and chutneys so a few of these bottles in our cart.

No spices, no curries so this is our must visit section.

A 5 lit pack of Rice Barn oil that keeps our heart healthy.

Deal of the day, that's right, before moving on to pay counter we must pick something from here.

One of our shopping cart is full and the other one is with my wife now time to pay.

We came out and put the things in the boot of the car

With us from origin Friday night is shoppong night and shops are open longer for the working class. These days many ciries changed it into Thursday night (no idea why).

It was an interesting tour. The shop looks more like a warehouse. What happened to the old kitchentools? You always leave them behind?

Thanks for joining and showing the shop (good for a steem-atlas entry?). A bit too much text to let the photos talk. A great day.

No idea where wakucat is right now 🤷

Yep, Indians use too many tools in their kitchens (even if small ones) so we need some or the other every month or so. Steem Atlas? I have lost trust in that since is't become an exchange program so I have stopped posting there. The new curators applications are open with new format (SR program scrapped). In case you willing to join a team (11 teams from next month) try it.
