Steemit Challenge Season 24 – Teams Recruitment Overview

1. PREFACE
So, 6 weeks of Season 23 SLC passed, and we welcomed the dawn of season 24 with the invitation for applications posted by @steemitblog on 25 March 2025, read here.
According to the post, the deadline to apply for season 24 (which is now rebranded to Steemit Challenge) was 4 April 2025 UTC. The recruitment phase has been completed and the teams (individuals) who will run the challenges ( should we call them “the mighty challengers”? ) in season 24 have been announced on 12 April, on this post.
2. APPLICANTS
Within the valid time, 38 applications were submitted via the assigned tag ( #challengepitch ). Some applied as teams, and the rest as solo applicants. All applications involved 54 accounts as potential “challengers”.
26 of all applications were sent on personal initiative (2 of which were submitted by 1 person making a total of 25 solo applicants for 26 applications), and the remaining 12 applications were submitted by teams with a total of 29 accounts involved as team members.

2.1. Geography
Applicants for season 24 came from 13 countries (2 more countries than the previous season's 11). The three countries with the most applicants were Pakistan, Venezuela, and Bangladesh, as shown in the following table and chart.

5. CLOSING
Season 24 has completed the recruitment stage and will enter the challenge stage on 21 April.
In season 24, we saw the number of teams/classes decrease again. Here is a comparison of the number of challenge organisers in the last 10 seasons.

To the selected Steemians, Congratulations. I hope you are able to complete the tasks well. For Steemians who applied and have not been selected (including me), don't be discouraged, we will contribute in other forms, and may be selected in the future.
I hope this is useful.

hi
hello ,,,
hi there, what's up ..
It is now just the Steemit Challenge rather than the Steemit Learning Challenge.
Thank you. Corrections have been made in the text and images. New image added.
Thank you for the wonderful report.
Yes, we observed that in the last few seasons, entries decreased. I think it is because more teams were selected in S20 and S21, but later the number of teams decreased, which affected the entries. Besides that , there are other fundamental reasons too. However, despite having fewer teams this time also, i am hopeful that we 'll receive more entries. Let's see how it goes.
The first week of challenge will start on the 21st. What do you think about the topic composition?
Will it be able to increase participation?
Interesting there are now 10 creative writing "courses" and not one of those people joined us. How eager are they to write?
Haha. Yes, thought so, too. Maybe we did a bad promotion. Or may it be the lack of reward. I believe we would have seen larger participation number if sc01 and / or sc02 involved. Or maybe the sum of all those reasons, and some others.
Or we have been lured in, did the dirty work and delivered the proof and suddenly they all dare! Thought about that? It's not really all for one if it comes to building Steemit. Kind of pity but so be it.
It's always interesting hoe greed takes over and how fast people leave but also how easy they lie and change into what the said they despised only a few years ago.
🙃
P. S. The prizes were high enough and the chance to win way higherplus those who joined more motivated. But 6 weeks is long, way too long. Pauzes are meeded to practise.
1 hour learning means 5 hours practise if you want to learn or improve a skill. Ifnot the brain can not adapt.
Okay, let me adapt to this first.
