We have reached the fourth day of our memorial campaign in Okobo Local Government Area, where we are inviting people to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Since our campaign began on Sunday, I have been sharing daily updates, and I am pleased to report that each day has been successful.
Today's efforts were no exception, with our team covering a significant amount of ground and engaging with many individuals. The day was filled with meaningful conversations and invitations extended to those we met along the way. Despite the long walk, our team's enthusiasm and dedication remained unwavering, of which I'm here to share with you all. This is how my day unfolded....

I was awake by 5am in the morning to do some write-up on the invitation flier, because there was a slight mistake on the time, date and location. Following the write-up, which I concluded within 30 minutes. I joined my Christian family in examining the scriptures and getting to read about the journey of Jesus death, which is encrypted in the book of Luke. After a minute prayer by me, we all departed to our assigned point of duty.
I was asked to make the environment and toilet clean, while others were assigned to dispose the bin, others assigned to prepare our breakfast. Following the completion of our morning chores, we were treated to a delicious breakfast consisting of atama soup and Garri. The meal was not only tasty but also provided a nutritious start to our day. The combination of flavors and textures made for a satisfying dining experience.

Heading out to the kingdom Hall
After breakfast, we took some time to freshen up and get ready for the day's activities. We changed into our clothes and headed out to the Kingdom Hall, feeling refreshed and prepared for what lay ahead. The morning routine helped us transition smoothly into our daily schedule. Arriving at the kingdom hall, we were instructed by the team oversight on how we can execute the day's invitation program with ease.
We were paired in two's, and after given our designated territory, we headed out as a team after a prayer by one of our Christian brother. Our team is seen here making their way to the designated territory, Urua Ita-Akai Uso Rd, located in Okobo Local Government Area. The video showcases our group's enthusiasm and determination as we head out to fulfill our mission.
Heading to Urua Ita-Akai Uso Rd
It was a very long distance walk from our dormitory, Nung Atai to Urua Ita-Akai Uso Rd, which was our territory. But regardless of the long distance, my Christian family were all parading with joy and happiness. You know why? Because we're happy to walk under the Scorch sun with the aim of inviting the community people to the memorial of Jesus death, a perfect being who died because of our own sin. Below is our invitation flier.

Upon arriving at the territory, our team dispersed to various homes to share the invitation with the residents. My companion, who is older than me, and I had the opportunity to meet with several individuals who were receptive to our message. They expressed their gratitude for what Jesus Christ has done for them and pledged to attend the memorial. One particular encounter that left a lasting impression on me was with a blind man.
The blind, yet committed man
Despite his physical limitation, he was resolute in his decision to attend the memorial, citing the positive impact Jesus Christ has had on his life. His commitment was a powerful testament to the significance of faith and the enduring influence of Jesus' teachings. His words struck a chord, prompting reflection on one's own spiritual journey and the importance of commemorating the death of Jesus Christ.
My snacks
After extending the invitation using our fliers to various houses, I was a bit weak, so my Christian sister bought me a biscuit and pure water to take, so that I regain my strength and continue with the long journey. Short bread biscuits has always been my favourite biscuits right from school days. Seeing this brand of biscuit again in this village was surprising, and I really enjoyed eating it and drinking my water to stay hydrated.
I was happy when we finally completed the territory by 2pm in the afternoon, because it was so big that I doubt, we'll finish today. After we were thanked by the congregation people in the village, we headed back to our dormitory, Nung Atai, which was another 1 hour walk. Below are the pictures we took before we headed back home.....

After an hour of walking back to our dormitory, Nung Atai, I was feeling so exhausted and tired, but all thanks to my Christian sister who offered to serve me lunch, (rice with pumo stew), I didn't even expect. Initial plan was to sip garri and wait till evening before eating and go to bed with others. But the true Christian family, of which I'm glad to be among, turns things the other way round.
My lunch
Of course, my Christian brothers too were as well exhausted. So to share some act of kindness which we've been learning everyday, I invited them to join me and enjoy the sumptuous meal. After eating the meal and taking a nap, we went out to the nearest joint to make ourselves happy after a long and stressful day, by purchasing some drinks and roasted chicken.
