My Best Moments of Eid

How was your preparation for Eid?

Eid brings joy and happiness to everyone. It’s not just about preparations for a single day; rather, the preparation for Eid begins with the start of Ramadan. Step by step, different kinds of arrangements are made throughout the holy month. The first step usually involves shopping for new clothes to wear while going to the Eid prayer. Among all the preparations, the joy of buying new clothes is the most exciting part.

Next comes cleaning and decorating the house. With Eid approaching, homes are tidied and beautifully decorated. Then begins the preparation for food—vermicelli, pitha, noodles, polao, korma, and a wide variety of dishes. On Eid morning, the women of the house usually start cooking early at dawn.

The happiest moments of Eid come when everyone connects with relatives and loved ones. Friends and family come together to chat and share Eid experiences. This shared joy creates a bond of togetherness.

In essence, the joy of Eid is not limited to shopping or cooking; it’s a way to express emotions and feelings. Through Eid, happiness is shared across all—rich and poor, young and old alike.

How was your fashion outfit on Eid? Share your feelings about your fashion outfit.

Of course, Eid is a joyful occasion and a special opportunity to dress up. During Eid, you’ll see everyone wearing new panjabis, shoes, and caps as they head to the Eid prayer. Just like everyone else, I had my own Eid fashion style. I wore a new panjabi to the Eidgah for the prayer, along with a cap on my head, a new watch on my wrist, and new shoes on my feet.

Talking about this fashion brings back a feeling of pure joy. Standing in front of the mirror and discovering a new version of myself created a wonderful moment. Among friends, everyone was eager to see who looked the best. Receiving compliments from family, friends, and relatives brought a unique sense of happiness. A newfound confidence awakened within me, and a wave of joy spread all around.

What are your favorite foods for Eid? How do they taste and feel?

Eid always means a variety of delicious breakfasts. In the morning, before going for the Eid prayer, the table is usually set with sweet dishes like semai (vermicelli), payesh (rice pudding), sabudana (sago), noodles, and various types of traditional pithas. After returning from the prayer, a wide range of savory items are served. Among them, notable ones include polao, korma, biryani, bhuna khichuri, beef curry, kala bhuna, roast, and more.

Among all these dishes, my personal favorite on Eid day is beef curry and bhuna khichuri. After the prayer, everyone sits together to eat. One of the greatest joys of Eid is sharing a meal while chatting with family. These delightful moments are all made possible by the occasion of Eid.

Did you travel anywhere during Eid? If yes, tell us about your travel moments.

Eid also means travel and outdoor fun—one of the most exciting parts of the celebration. This Eid, I visited a new park in a nearby district called Akkas Valley. The park was very beautiful and surrounded by nature. I went with a group of friends, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We spent a wonderful time there, exploring and relaxing. After our trip, we all returned home.

Almost every Eid, we make travel plans like this. Going out with everyone feels amazing. We’ve already started planning for trips in future Eids too. And yes, we definitely plan to go out again on the next one!
