Degchi Bari Restaurant in Chittagong has earned good reputation from food enthusiasts for satisfying their taste for refined cuisine. Their special biryani combos are budget-friendly which making it a popular choice for many diners. I had heard a lot of good things about them on social media and this was my first visit to their restaurant and I was satisfied with my dining experience.

Degchi Bari Restaurant is located at Probartak Mor in Chittagong, on Fazlul Kader Chowdhury Road. It is situated very close to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, the only direct government hospital in Chittagong, that's why it's a perfect place for people coming for treatment and relatives visiting patients to have their meals. The Probartak Mor area also has many small and large shopping malls, universities, and commercial offices; there is a diverse customer base. I am pinning the restaurant's address.

They also have a website that I visited. Customers can order their food items through food riders but not all items are available on the website and to know if the items listed are ready at the restaurant, they need to inquire by phone. They have significant popularity on Facebook and they have been able to create an online connection with customers through their recipe posts. Let's step inside the restaurant now. Regarding their interior, I wouldn't say it's decorated luxuriously. Their interior was simple but looked very calm. I say calm because the wall color in their interior was quite eye-soothing. I don't know the exact name of the color but it seemed somewhat lemon-like.

The restaurant has a single-story room that is not very large, approximately 250-300 square feet where customers sit to eat. The seating arrangements are quite comfortable and high-quality sofas have been used where you won't feel uncomfortable even if you sit for a long time. So, let me share the pictures of the restaurant's interior with you.

Interior

The interior with a decent type and a beautiful seating system made the atmosphere inside quite pleasant. The entire room was air-conditioned, so customers will feel very comfortable during the hot weather. I really liked the lighting and besides, there was some customization on the walls and a large scenery was placed next to each seat, which you can see closely when you sit down. With its decent interior and beautiful lighting, the restaurant's interior will be pleasing to any customer.

Scenario

Let's now share their food menu with you. The menu card is reasonably large and is given to customers at each table. It has detailed information, including the prices of the food items, on both sides. Below, I am sharing a picture of the front side where the details of their combo packages are mentioned. Menu Card

I have read all their items and the combo packages seemed the best to me. They had four combo packages, out of which I ordered two. You can also order the items in the combo packages separately if you wish. If there are two people, I would prefer taking two combo packages for both.

The first package was named Orsh Biryani, which also included a mixed fruit. The second package I took was Dom Biryani, which came with a lassi. I asked to replace the lassi with Almond drink . The food was served at the table within 3 minutes of ordering, which was very impressive.

In the picture above, you can see the food is beautifully arranged and served. Since these are biryani items, a separate salad and a gravy were provided. I first tasted the Orsh Biryani, which most people also know as beef biryani. The amount of beef in the biryani was sufficient and being the Orsh variant, it was made somewhat spicy. It tasted exactly like an Orsh biryani should.

The Dom Biryani was made with Basmati rice. It had a chicken roast and an egg. The separate gravy provided is mainly meant to be enjoyed with this dish. Since these were fried rice items, it tasted quite delicious when mixed with the gravy. The quantity of food was sufficient. In fact, it was quite difficult to finish some of the later portions. Finally, I tried the Almond drink , which was simply an amazing drink.

My Total Bill was 590 BDT = 33.7 STEEM

After the meal, it was time to pay the bill. My total bill came to 590 taka. I prefer to pay online at most restaurants, as it seems convenient to me. Customers can also pay their bills by card if they wish. The bill was given through a digital slip. I paid my bill through bKash wallet.

Besides other services, the restaurant takes special care of its customers. There was a tissue box with their own branding on every table. Every table was very neat and clean. Since many people need toothpicks after eating, they have also kept toothpick containers on all tables. Dustbins were also placed in the corner of each table for disposing of waste. Clean washroom, handwash and other facilities also available. In other words, a customer would find everything they need in a restaurant there.

The behavior of the people working there was very good and polite. When I was looking at the menu card, someone came and gave me information about the packages and they also suggest different packages to many customers based on their preferences. When I asked to replace the lassi with almond drink in the second package, they very kindly accepted it. Their attitude towards customers impressed me a lot.

Degchi Bari Restaurant has maintained a good standard in its service and food quality. Food lovers will surely enjoy their dishes.
