How are you all? I hope everyone is well. My duty was from 2 pm to 10 pm on 3 June 2025. However, due to the arrival of material products from Chittagong Port, I had to go to another warehouse of our factory and do duty. I had to work for about 16 hours that day, which became our regular duty before Eid.

Before Eid, our 5-6 lots of products arrived from Chittagong Port, and we did duty for 16 hours every day. Through this, we earned good overtime, which was very satisfying as a result of our hard work.
Waking Up and Morning Preparations |
I woke up in the morning, ate dates and a boiled egg on an empty stomach and left for the factory. Upon reaching the factory, I arranged the necessary products properly in the sections so that it would be convenient to work later. After that, I started the work of unloading an empty carton car and helped to warehouse the products properly.
Heading to the Warehouse and Reflecting on History |
After breakfast at 8 am, I was sent to the factory warehouse. The warehouse was a kilometre away from the factory, so I had breakfast from home and walked there through the evening nature. When I reached the warehouse, I was waiting for the goods to arrive by truck from Chittagong Port.
While walking along the road, I suddenly saw an abandoned building. It was part of the Gazi Tire Factory, which had suffered an accident during the fall of the government in August, and many people had died there. With that memory, I waited for the cars to arrive from Chittagong Port. A little later, I went to the shop and started drinking tea.
Organizing the Warehouse and Unloading the Goods |
Going inside the factory warehouse, I had to make some space where I would store my chemical products because previously the products were kept haphazardly. Then, I neatly arranged the haphazard products to one side.
Then, the first truck arrived from Chittagong Port, and I asked him to remove the vehicle papers and the straps so that the unloading work could begin. After removing the vehicle papers and straps, I brought the truck to the unloading point and started unloading.
Unloading the Trucks and Lunch Break |
By 1 pm, I had unloaded three trucks. I started unloading at 11 am. In between work, I went home for lunch at 1 pm. When I got home, I first ate a banana and then started eating shrimp with rice and kachu lati. After lunch, I started going back to the factory.
Since the factory and the warehouse were a bit far from my house, I hired a rickshaw for 20 taka and went back to the warehouse and started unloading the goods.
Unloading the Trucks and Organizing the Chemicals |
In the afternoon, I parked the truck at the unloading point again and started unloading. You see, I am working as a forklift operator. Then, after unloading the chemical products neatly in the afternoon, I arrange them neatly in one place, two by two.
Then, I come to the factory in the evening, where I give the invoices to my boss and do some light work. Then, at the end of the day, I return home.
Relaxing After a Long Day |
After returning home after finishing my duty, I was very tired. My wife went to the market for shopping, and she bought fuchka and haleem, which she gave me to eat. Then, after eating litchi, my wife made me a glass of Horlicks with milk so that my body would feel a little better.
After eating these foods, I felt very good. Then, after having dinner, I fell asleep after a long and hard day.
