Doll revived with new life: Connection of rechargeable battery and charging circuit.

Assalamualaikum Everyone. I am @imranhassan From #Bangladesh

How are you all? I hope you are well. By the grace of God, I am also well. Today I will share a fun and effective project that I recently made. This is a rechargeable version of a non-rechargeable doll. The doll, which previously worked with non-rechargeable pencil batteries, I have now restarted with rechargeable batteries and a charging circuit.

This is very cool, because earlier the batteries that were used to run it used to run for about a day or two, then I had to install a new battery for 60 taka. But now, I have made it rechargeable with lithium batteries. As a result, the doll can be recharged and used again, through which there is no hassle of changing the battery.

Rechargeable battery connection: new advantage

Now it lasts for a long time and is being used in an economical and environmentally friendly way. With this project, I not only made the doll durable and eco-friendly, but I also added a new technology to make it reusable. Now it can be used again easily, and it is more efficient than before.

Step 1: Changing the doll's battery and circuit

First, I brought the doll to my work table. Then, I opened the back part of the doll and took out its old non-rechargeable pencil battery. This method required changing the battery every day or two. Then, using a star screwdriver, I unscrewed the screw and took out the circuit inside the doll, which was supporting the old battery. Then I observed the circuit and prepared to set up the new rechargeable circuit.

Step 2: Changing the battery and charging circuit

image.pngimage.png

In this picture, you can see that there are three 1.5-volt non-rechargeable batteries on the left side and a 3.7-volt lithium-ion battery on the right side. Next, I collected a TP4056 Li-ion Battery Charging Module to charge the lithium battery.

I applied 220 volts of input voltage to the charging circuit and checked the output with a multimeter. The output was 4.12 volts, which was correct. Next, I checked the output of the battery, and it was 3.30 volts. Although the battery seemed a little low, it was confirmed that the battery was working properly and properly.

Step 3: Connecting the Battery and Charging Circuit

As you can see in this picture, I connected the 3.7-volt lithium-ion battery to the input voltage of the doll and turned it on with the doll's switch. The doll turned on nicely. Next, I glued the battery inside the doll's body.

Then, I glued the charging circuit onto the doll's body nicely with the glue gun. This circuit is connected to the battery, and I have made all the connections of the doll's motor and light to it nicely. After doing everything right, I turned the doll on again, and it is working nicely.

Step 4: Fitting and Charging Checking

After making all the connections nicely and after the doll was turned on, I fitted the doll's body nicely and put the doll's gear on properly. Then, I used a mobile charger to check the charging circuit.

In this charging circuit, when the red light is on, it should be understood that it is charging. When it is fully charged, the green light will light up, which indicates correctly. After that, the doll started working properly, and I am very happy with it.

Also, as per the community guidelines, I took a picture with my handiwork, which you can see.

Improvement of the rechargeable system of the doll: Problems and solutions
ProblemSolution
The doll was powered by a non-rechargeable battery. The doll has been made rechargeable with a lithium-ion battery.
Changing the battery used to cost about 60 taka.Since the lithium battery is used, it can be recharged and used.
The battery was single charge; a new battery had to be installed after a day.The lithium battery can be recharged, so there is no need to change the battery.
There was no battery charging circuit.A charging circuit has been connected that is able to charge the battery through a mobile charger.
Normally the doll's motion and light did not work. The charging circuit, battery and motor have been connected, so the doll's motion and light have started working again.
Used Parts and Change
