A memorable day of land acquisition – Our rural tour | Bardi, Sonargaon, Narayanganj.

whole process was not just for taking possession, but also turned into a family rural tour. I took my children to the village, everyone enjoyed the open air a lot. This experience of the rural environment teaches a lot to the new generation – being close to nature, the sincerity of people, and real life lessons. Finally, we draw boundaries around the land, so that there is no confusion in the future.

How the journey began.

First of all, I, my daughter, my sister's daughter and my mother—we all left the house together. Then we got into a car, our destination was Sonargaon, Bardi area—where we had purchased land. As we were going on the road, the children got a little hungry and started crying. Then I bought them bread and juice, so that they were happy and the journey was comfortable.

A journey fascinated by the beauty of rural nature

We moved towards our village through beautiful nature and the straight dirt road of the village. Now the dry season is going on, so preparations for cultivation were visible around. Many people were plowing the land, some were sowing seeds—seeing these scenes, it seemed as if nature had awakened anew. All in all, the surroundings of the village were wonderfully beautiful. Open fields, the smell of green crops, and the peaceful environment—everything completely filled our minds.

A little rest after reaching the destination

Finally, we reached our destination. There, we rested for a while under a mango tree. The cool air of the village, the chirping of birds, and the shady environment gave me a strange sense of peace. After a while, my mother, my cousin, and I all started walking along the narrow dirt road of the village. Our goal was to find the land that we had recently purchased. Today, we would see the land and understand it.

Everyone present during the land measurement

When we reached near our land, we saw that many people had already gathered there. Those who owned land nearby were also present. The man who was supposed to come to measure our land had already arrived and started measuring the land from the other side. We quickly went to them and participated in the land measurement. While Amin was measuring, we held the tape and helped him so that the whole thing could be measured accurately. The whole work was done through cooperation—this created a sense of family unity and harmony.

Some confusion and disputes during land measurement

The situation became a little complicated during the land measurement. Many people who own land in the surrounding area continue to raise various demands. Someone was saying, “I will get a little more from this side.” Another was saying, “My land will fall from this side.” Another was even saying, “You will not get land on this side, this is my boundary.”

The matter became even more uncomfortable when it was seen that a person had already come and had driven a stake into our land, as if it were part of his land. Amidst all this talk, bickering and confusion, Amin looked at the previous map of the land and started measuring it again. Because, if the measurement was not done correctly, there could be more trouble in the future. So, to be sure, the entire area was measured again.

Sweaty work in the sun, then on the way to a solution

The work of measuring the land continued. But in the intense noon sun, everyone was gradually getting tired. Their bodies were getting wet with sweat, and the hot sun was overhead. At that time, the noon call to prayer came from the mosque. By this time, most of the work of measuring the land had been completed.

After that, we all stood on one side and reviewed the situation. The misunderstandings or claims that had arisen After discussing them, everyone was told how much land fell where according to the correct information and measurements. Alhamdulillah, in the end everyone accepted the matter. Then everyone got ready to place the poles according to the boundaries of their place and took their positions one by one at the designated place.

The final moment of understanding the land – establishing our rights.

Finally, the work of measuring the land was completely completed. Then we all pulled the rope from one side to the other to determine the boundaries, so that the pillars (poles) could be placed at the exact size. We started building the pillars step by step. By placing the poles in all the positions one by one, we were sure that this place was ours, and we had understood the entire land correctly.

There was a space of about 16 inches on one side of our land, which we could not use until now. Because some people around had occupied it and would not let us go there. However, we had purchased this land earlier and the old Amin had also given us the exact size. However, it has not been possible to enter or occupy that place so far. But now, with everyone present and seeing the measurements, the exact size of the place has been proven to us and InshaAllah, now we will be able to use the entire land as we wish. This is a great feeling of peace and satisfaction for us. By placing the poles in all the positions one by one, we were sure that this place was ours, and we had understood the entire land correctly.
