How To Prepare Ekoki

Greetings dear steemians today i will love to teach you on how to prepare our local delicacy Ekoki. Ekoki is a local delicacy mostly eaten by the Ibibio people. Let look below on how to cook Ekoki.

Ingredients
Corn
Maggie
Pepper
Onion
Oil
Fish
Salt Plantain leaf

Steps by steps

Steps	Explanation	Pictures
Step one	get your plantain leaf in the farm
Step two	put the plantain leaves on fire for it to get soft
Step three	wash the leaves
Step four	measure your grind corn and put inside the pot
Step five	put water and stir it throughly
Step six	put you grinded pepper, Maggie , salt and crayfish and stir together
Step seven	put your slice onion and palm oil and stir it, then taste weather they will be need for you to add any other ingredients
Step eight	rins your pot and cut the stalk of the plantain and put it line by line in the pot
Step nine	get your plantain leaf and fold into a cone shape, bend the under and put the mix corn inside then fold the up.
Step ten	do like that till you are through, then put the pot on fire when it is done you remove and then your food is ready

Not only we Ibibio usually eat it, there are people out there who loves it very much and they are even looking for it to buy even if it takes thousands to buy it, well just get your ingredients and prepare it here at home. You can use small fancy plates to do it, but i prefer you use plantain leaves, because it is very medicinal.

And also so many people would want to know why i used that in step eight, well i used that so that if i put my water and then put my mixed corn inside the leaf it won't pour.
