Today, I am going to share with you a delicious jalebi recipe made with flour and soaked in sugar syrup. I have never tried this recipe before, so I was a bit nervous before making it. But I gathered my courage and thought, "I will definitely make it today." The idea of making jalebi had been swirling in my mind for a long time, but I hadn’t gotten around to it. So today, I decided to finally do it and share my first jalebi-making experience with you. Let's see how I made it.
Mention five (at least) consecutive photos and descriptions of your cooked recipes.
🔹Step I

I first took a packet of Actifit Premium Quality Flour. Then, I took some baking powder. Next, I measured out the required amount of sugar. I took a bowl and added the measured flour to it.

Since this is my first time making jalebi, I decided to prepare a small quantity. I took a small amount of water in a pan and heated it on the stove. Then, I gradually mixed the hot water into the flour while stirring it with a spoon. I added a small amount of baking powder. I kept stirring the mixture with a spoon for a while until it became smooth. Then, I let the mixture rest for some time.
🔹Step III

Next, I placed a frying pan on the stove to heat it up. After a while, I checked the consistency of the flour mixture with my hands. As you can see in the picture, the mixture turned out very smooth and sticky.
🔹Step IV

Then, I took another pan and placed it on the stove. I added a small amount of water and the required amount of sugar and started boiling it. Once the sugar melted, I added two cloves and one cardamom. These ingredients help enhance the aroma of the sugar syrup.

I also added a small amount of cinnamon and a bay leaf. Keeping the stove on medium to high heat, I continued boiling the sugar syrup. After some time, when the syrup thickened, I turned off the stove. The sugar syrup was now ready.
🔹Step VI

Now, I took the frying pan I had heated earlier and added an ample amount of oil. The oil quantity should be slightly higher as jalebis need to be deep-fried. Then, I took a sauce bottle and filled it with the flour mixture.
🔹Step VII

Now, I quickly piped the flour mixture into the hot oil in a spiral pattern. Since it was my first attempt, I tried to shape the jalebi loops as best as I could.
🔹Step VIII

I flipped the jalebis with a spatula and fried them until golden. Once fried, I lifted them out, drained the excess oil, and immediately soaked them in the sugar syrup.

I continued making more jalebis in my preferred design, frying them, and then soaking them in the sugar syrup. Finally, I served them in a bowl. As you can see in the picture, my jalebis turned out great.

After finishing, I took a selfie with my homemade jalebis. This was a completely new experience for me. From start to finish, I was very excited about making jalebi. Once done, I felt extremely happy. Then, my husband and I tasted the jalebi. They were delicious, juicy, and full of flavor. My husband was delighted and said they tasted amazing!
You can also try making these at home. Homemade jalebis taste even better than the ones from the market.
