SFS Contest Picture of the Day Week 41

Welcome to my blog! Today I will be sharing the picture of the day and this is about a special event in the life of our children.

Here in Nigeria every 27th day of May is set aside to celebrate our children and they call it children's day.

On the 27th of May, the older school children and students will go to the nearest stadium assigned to their school for their celebration. And this they will carry on many activities as possible ranging from match pass, to dancing, fashion parade, sports activities and a whole lot.

Some dignitaries from different states and local government will go to their assigned stadium to celebrate with the children.

This is the event that every child will always anticipate and can't wait to see and participate.

So on this day of 27th May, 2025, I took my children to the stadium but since they are very little, they were not matching like the ones in upper primary and secondary schools.
They were just there watching and clapping for others performance.

As we were stepping out from the house, my children demanded that I took them some photographs.

So I decided to take this picture that I used for this contest.

They had a fun filled day as they go round the stadium to see the other part of it and also met school children from different schools. They made new friends and interact with them as well and get to know about their school name and few things about their school.

This was really a day to remember and the kids keep on asking when the next children's day will be. I told them is still very far and that is the response they don't like to hear. They want it to come very quickly and wishing they meet those friends they made.
