SFS Contest! Picture of the Day Week 39

Just like every week, I feel good about this contest this week as well. There is always a day each week that has a story and memories. Our dear admin @ashkhan ma'am has blessed us to participate and share here. I will share a story and memory centered around true events from one week as I am feeling unwell.

Around me, the atmosphere of summer is prevailing. It's excruciatingly hot, and suddenly rains are troubling us. Amidst this, we have to continue our work. I am a teacher, and my students are synonymous with love for me. I find great joy and entertainment with my students. Perhaps you can see this in English; I am standing with a student, and we have taken a selfie.

This student is one of my group members. He is just beginning his studies. This student does not understand the class rules and policies and makes no effort to do so. He only wants entertainment and joy. Hence, I always engage him in fun and entertainment. When I asked him what he had for lunch today, he just got up from the class and said, 'Let’s go.'

Have you considered how well our relationship must be for him to speak to me like that? I took him to the balcony of our building and there I asked him what he had eaten. In return, he told me, 'Actually, you had eaten a little earlier at noon, so just tell me.' So I conveyed my part. He became very happy. And he spent a very good time with me giving advice and joy.

He enjoys storytelling and having fun the most. Besides, he doesn't like studying very much. When I scold him for studying, he still smiles and after a bit of light crying, he gets back to normal. That day, after chatting with him, I realized the importance of studying.

He made a promise to me that starting today, he will study. And when I occasionally provide entertainment and joy, it increases his motivation even more. Hearing this made me happy; in fact, not every student studies just because they are scolded and pressured all the time. Sometimes, love and encouragement are much more crucial for them.
