The Diary Game || 10-05-2025 || I spent a busy Saturday unloading chemical products, filled with sun, sweat, and hard work.

Overtime on weekends too

Saturday was my weekend. But I had to do overtime duty due to the arrival of chemical products from Chittagong Port. I woke up at 5:30 am and left for work. At that time, the weather was very cold, although the last two days had been very hot. In the morning, I got into the car and delivered the products to the section first to run the production.

Chemical unloading and breakfast

I started unloading chemical products at 7 am and finished unloading a car by 8 am. Then I went home to have breakfast. An uncle has cultivated vegetables on a sufficient amount of land in front of our house. I stood for a while and looked at those vegetables because such a scene is not easily seen in the city. After coming home, I have breakfast with curd, chira, dates, banana, cucumber and fried egg.

Chemical delivery to warehouse and supply to production

At 9 am, I go back to the factory and start working. I take the chemical products to the warehouse. The warehouse was completely empty, so I started storing the goods first. As per the requisition, on the way back from the warehouse, I take some acid to production. Then, after unloading two cars, I request to set the unloading point of the third car.

Light breakfast in the sun and work pressure

At around 11 am, I get out of the car to have a light breakfast. I go to a shop and eat tea and bread. There was a lot of sun on the field and on the road; it was very difficult to work. So, to keep my body cool, I buy curd and eat it. Then I start taking goods to the warehouse again. When I come back, I give the plastic grains to production as per the requisition.

Lunch and car heat

After unloading five cars of chemicals, it was 1:30 pm. Then we were not ready for lunch. That day, our car overheated a lot. I poured water into the car and sweated profusely inside the warehouse; even my head was wet with sweat. Then I went home in the sun to eat lunch.

After finishing lunch, I left for the factory again at 3 pm. I looked at the sky and saw that the heat of the sun was unbearable. So I took a picture – the sun was shining. Then I went to the factory and handed over the afternoon products to production. I started taking the chemical products to the warehouse again.

Unloading packaging products from another unit

After unloading the chemical products, another car was pending unloading. It brought packaging products from another factory unit. We were two drivers working – one driver was unloading packaging products, and I was unloading a car of empty cartons. Seeing that I was sweating, a worker brought me cold water from the factory.

Preparation for the night, security and the market at the end of the day

In the evening, I went there with two people to give the plastic grain sacks to the section as per the requisition. I plated the products beautifully and supplied them to the production for the night. At that time, some placards were being put up in the factory to protect my hands. A younger brother came and asked me to take a picture of him. Finally, after finishing the night duty, while returning home, I bought 1250 rupees from the grocery store at the request of my wife.
