The Diary Game || 02-06-2025 || A Rainy Day at Work: Unloading, Organizing, and Safeguarding Products

Hope everyone is well. Today, June 2, 2025, was a busy day. My duty was from 6 am to 10 pm, and it was a special day because I had to go to duty early due to some material goods arriving from Chittagong Port. The whole day was spent in hard work to bring and store the goods arriving from the port properly and safely at the factory.

Preparing for work in the rain

Waking up in the morning, I first go to the factory. Then I check my forklifts, and I am not ready for work. At that time, the car from Chittagong Port was late, so we started working to load one of our cars to another factory. While we were starting the work of loading the car, it rained heavily in the morning, so I went home to have breakfast and got wet in the rain.

Working in the factory and preparing wooden plates

After 9 am, I went back to the factory and started working. As per the requisition, I deliver the products to different sections. The products were packaged in polythene bags; I loaded them and delivered them to the right place.

Next, the goods would arrive from Chittagong Port; we needed wooden pallets, but they were soaked in rainwater. So I was wrapping the water so that they could be ready for use.

Lunch break and next steps

While working, it was 11 am, and our car was still a little bit loaded. Then, we went to the shop and had a light meal there. I ate chickpeas. After the meal, the rain stopped, and there was a lot of wind in the sky. You can see the leaves of the coconut tree were blowing in the wind.

Then, the loading of the car from another factory of ours was finished, and the plastic car arrived from Chittagong Port. We started unloading that car.

Lunch break and resumption of unloading work

While unloading the cars, it was 1 pm. Then, we went home to have lunch. While going on the road, I saw a beautiful poster of the cattle market in the context of Eid al-Adha.

After coming home and having lunch, I went to the factory at 3 pm and resumed unloading work.

Product storage and precautions

After noon, it became dark while unloading the products. We worked until 8 pm. During the work, we kept the products under the open sky, but since there was a risk of the products getting wet on rainy days, we were careful.

So, to prevent the products from getting wet, we covered them nicely with plastic paper and wooden plates from above so that the products were protected.
