SFS Contest Picture of the Day Week 41

^{A Day to Remember at Alpha Beach}

Taking this picture yesterday, I was reminded that one of those special days had come my way again and I now wish I could live through it whenever life gets busy.

Feeling there wasn’t much freedom in my routine lately, I decided to spend time outdoors in nature. I chose this beach because I thought it would be calm and pleasant and my expectations were confirmed when I got there.

It was taken at around dusk just as the sun became a little softer after shining for most of the day. The sky was soft and gentle, the waves made a playful sound as they hit and the fresh breeze carried the special saltiness of the ocean. I looked out toward the waves behind me and the endless horizon and it filled me with serenity. At that time, it hit me how amazing and huge the world is which made me recognize the value of pausing to enjoy it.

My favorite shirt which shows a logo from my favorite movie and I wore it that day which suited the easygoing mood we all had. My main goal wasn’t to pose perfectly; it was to be there and really enjoy myself.

The special part about the day was that it led to a lot of reflection. While standing on the beach, letting the waves softly touch my feet, I remembered my journey, felt how much I’ve changed and realized I still had many more memories to collect. There was a peaceful atmosphere all around, interrupted only by the ocean’s gentle rhythm which made the day of finding oneself even nicer.

I captured this picture for more than just the place; I wanted to hold onto the sense of being at peace, content and complete where things move so quickly. Alpha Beach made me realize how lucky I was and I’m sure to remember this moment whenever I see this image.
