This picture reminds me of the song of a popular artiste — Adulthood na scam. Who would take care of you when you're injured? Those days are gone now.

In her song, she said adulthood is a big scam. Can you remember those days you were in primary and high school? Those days you would run to catch the swing or seesaw during break time. I miss those days. Little wonder the artiste said adulthood is a scam because nobody will ask you if you've eaten. Nobody will give you free money and nobody would be concerned about your health.

I went back to that childhood lifestyle. There's nothing bothering children because it's the adults that think their thoughts and solve their problems. Sitting on the see-saw was when some Steemians and I went to carryout a charitable program in a school. It was just so fun being reminded of my past. The scar you see on my forehead is as a result of the swing. I was hit so hard because of the see-saw.

There's nothing really formal about the photo. It's just me having a good time on the see-saw. Sitting on the see-saw brought memories that made me cry. I would turn and see the pupils jumping up and down and reciting timetable. I'll then remember those days I'll be in primary school. I'll be given lunch to take to school. My parents would come and pick me from school, I'll be on the swing for hours enjoying the benefits of being a child.

But now I'm an adult. Those plays have ceased to exist. We now play digitally and formally, not as children. I'll tell you the incident that prompts this image. First of all, I was in this school to carry out a charitable program. We gave the children Noodles to take home as most pupils in the school barely eat to school and have no hope of eating lunch till it's time for dinner. Even though the noodles isn't a satisfying meal, it would sustain them.

One funny thing children have with Noodles is that they always want to eat it at all times. When I was a kid, it was noodles on my mind. If I'm sick, it's Noodles and nothing more. You needed to see the smiles on the faces of these children. One of the teachers said she had never seen them smile this way before. The charitable was indeed a success and we left a scar in the school. They told us to come back. Now to the picture. I didn't just see the see-saw and just took pictures with it. Something prompted me — an incident in my childhood.

The see-saw Experience

11Am is usually our break time. We would sing the prayer songs for food before going out to either eat or play. Once the bell is rung, everyone would run to the swing to catch it. I was in primary 3 then. I've always been a fast runner and no one beats me in catching the see-saw. See-saw is a type of gaming tool mostly used by two people. Each would sit north and south and there was just one see-saw in my school.

It's always turn my turn. If you're the first to catch the see-saw, you'll last for 5 minutes on ot before going to your class. You're actually the owner of the see-saw that day and everyone knows that. One fateful day, I didn't meet up with the see-saw because my teacher summoned me immediately the bell was rung. I was in pains. Everyone were laughing that for the first time, I didn't catch the swing. I was bitter at heart. I stood close to the see-saw trying to recover from the shock and mockery.

In no time, I was on the ground. What happened? I was knocked down by the 6- feet high see-saw. Blood was gushing out of my forehead as the metal plate hit me so hard that there was a hole left on my forehead. I was rushed to the school clinic where I was attended to and given first aid treatment.

Ever since that incident happened, I stayed away from see-saws. Seeing it in this primary school reminded me of the scar on my forehead. I still have that scar and I'm proud of the scar because it's something I'll use in telling my children stories of my childhood. This is the story from this picture. I'm big now but still miss those days. Do you have any childhood memory? Tell me.
