Contest 19 | My favorite outfit this week

I'm no model but anytime I dress or wear outstanding wears, I resemble a model. Could it be because of my body size or looks? I'm not a fashionista but a tailor and the son of a tailor. My dad is always passionate about sewing and creating garments for people to wear. In my area, he's known to be the best tailor in suits creation. Just give him your design and he'll deliver.

Any cloth I wear just fit me and makes me looks like a model. It has been in my plans to grow his business and make him outstanding in the fashion industry. I do sew too but not to the extent of sewing suits, jackets and senator wears with complex design. I only know how to sew plain but can't create complex designs. I'm still undergoing mentorship in that line. I can sew the trousers very well and shirts.

What's your favorite outfit this week? Describe it by sharing its photos.

My favourite outfit this week is a senator wear. This is the first wear I have in white. I'm not a huge fan of wearing white dresses but lol, I got attracted by a design and then opted to create a white senator garment. This senator wear is one that has no cuffs for button. It's sewn as plain hand joining with a round long sleeve.

Normal senators have fasteners on the neck level where they can easily unbutton and pull out the wear. This is quite different because it's just like a garment with rope but buttons holds it. The senator is sewn in a way that the place buttons are placed is an opening where one can easily remove the cloth. It's just like a half jacket that's locked by buttons. When unbuttoned, it becomes an open wear and can be removed without passing through the head.

The neck has a round collar that makes it unique. Senators are known to have round collars with fasteners in front of zip by the shoulder region. The material type is cotton white.

It's not just the clothes that makes an outfit. The shoe I wore is a Loafers, a low loafers. The big heel size is much more expensive than the low heel. It's black and has designs on its. The softness that comes with this particular show and the Steeze has it all on eyes. The hat too brought me to the spotlight coupled with the spec. Everything was just black and white for me, keeping the touch soft.

Why do you like this outfit?

I like this outfit because it rhymes with any colour of shoe I may wear and any colour of cap. White goes with everything and it's simple to wear and very comfortable than shirts. The buttoned design by the side makes it easy to pull off compared to the normal senator wears which uses fasteners or zip and is pulled off from the head.

I also like the outfit because it's an outstanding design and colour. Even though it stains easily, it glows when there's sun making it difficult to see dirts if any. The cost of sewing and complexity involved is minimal.

Where did you get this outfit? Tell me about the location.

I sew this outfit. You may doubt this because you barely see me post wears I sew. Yes, the reason for this is because my dad said the shop's building isn't well positioned to be shared online. That's why I barely share things I sew at the moment. I only snap parts, joinings and designs. Due to school as well, I barely sew clothes except during weekends.

So I cut and sew the dress. I started with the trouser which I completed using a day and then cut the senator wear and joined the shoulder part and back piece. My dad worked on the front piece because of the design there. It wasn't that complex but needed careful examination to get the desired result. When he was done joining the front piece, I joined the sleeves and then took the clothes home for laundry.

What is the value of this outfit? Show us its value in your country's currency and in STEEM currency.

To cut and sew a senator wear for adults requires 3 Trouser lengths for the top. A trouser length depends on the quality of the material involved. If it's the cotton I purchased, it's 2700 naira for a trouser cut. The full detail or value of this outfit in naira are shown below.

My outfit is worth 33k in naira and 178 in Steems. The cost of material is so expensive that people try as much as possible to maintain clothes instead of sewing new ones. To sew one reasonable cloth would take you up to 15-20k. The cost of living has really affected the living but we as tailors who have the skill of creating garments, we just buy the material to be sewn by ourselves.

If we're to charge for sewing senator wear, it's 7000 naira. So imagine buying material for 15k and you spend 7k for sewing. That's 22k. Na your body go tell you 😁.
