"Steem Cameroon Best day Contest – April 2, 2025"

When I think about my best days, Wednesday, April 2, 2025, gets a prominent place among them. It was the birthday of my beloved aunt, the wife of my mother's elder brother. She is the most senior living member of our family, apart from my mother-in-law. She turned 94 years old.

Although she had nine children, three of them had passed away by this point. Among her six living children, five are daughters and all are government doctors, and her only son is a well-known businessman. The younger daughter, who works at Oman Hospital, came to Sri Lanka for five days to participate in this special moment with her husband.

Every year on my aunt's birthday, her children organize a Dana ceremony for Buddhist monks and in the evening celebrate their mom's birthday by cutting a cake. For this function, they invite all the relatives.

We are looking forward to this day every year because we could meet and have a nice time with our cousins.

On that day at about 10.00 a.m., we went to my aunt's house; by this time, everyone was busy with Dana's activities. When they noticed our arrival, everyone gave us a big hug and a warm welcome. I also joined with them to arrange Dana. When the Buddhist monks arrived, we offered Dana with a full heart of happiness.

After the monks returned to the temple, we enjoyed lunch with our aunt and other relatives. My aunt's house was filled with joy and laughter.

The evening was the precious time of the day. My aunt, surrounded by her children, cut the birthday cake. We all clapped and sang the birthday song, wishing her a bright future.

The day was filled with love, respect, and joy. My aunt's face was glowing.

That day provided us with the opportunity to take memorable photographs and stay happy with other cousins.

Most of all, that day became the best as we could bring a smile to my aunt's face on her golden day.
