The Diary Game 3: May 3rd, 2025.A Day of Surprise, Errand, and Simple Joy
I woke up today at an ungodly hour 4:30am to the sound of my phone alarm. My body protested begging for more time to sleep but i had a mission which is a birthday surprise for someone which i was informed some days back. My room was very silent, the world in general outside was still in darkness. Nevertheless, this was a good time for my morning meditation and doing my house chores early enough as i had to go play an early morning birthday surprise and i was told to be there by 6am.
I later put my saxophone together inside my saxophone bag and drove my bike to the place for the birthday. So it was the pastor of a church called Winners Chapel and the Christians of the church wanted to surprise him, so i was called to come and play the saxophone. They usually have morning service which starts at 6am, so the idea was to surprise the pastor as he is coming to church but things didn't go as planned as the pastor came late and so they decided to do the surprise at the end of the service. Since i left my house early, i was forced to attend church service til the end.
But finally, the surprise was done and the pastor was happy and prayed for everyone present.
By the time i got home, the sun was fully up and the entire neighborhood was busy. I was tired and wake, could barely remove my shoes before resting on my couch. While resting on my couch, i did a scroll through my phone, especially the pictures i took during the surprise and posted some on my whatsapp status.
Later within the day, i had to go send a parcel (trumpet) to someone in Buea. This guy contacted me on facebook market place after viewing my handle and the things i sell there. After talking with him, he finally bought a brand new silver trumpet from me and i had to go deliver.
The cool thing about the trumpets i sell is that, they are all branded with my name (SAXOPEDIA). After wrapping the trumpet and writing out his name on it, i went to town and sent the trumpet via a traveling agency and also sent him the receipt which he will use to collect.
On my way back, i passed by a local bike wash spot. My moto bike had been looking a lttle worse lately, covered with dust and mud. Since i wasn't in a rush, i pulled over.
The guy took about 10 minutes to wash it, but then i had to wait for it to get dry before leaving.
The ride back home was refreshing. the clean bike hummed smoothly and for a moment, everything felt just fine as i called it a day.
Thank you for reading my diary.
