SC S25W4: Drawing mecha anime.

Drawing mecha anime.
Hello Friends.
Welcome to my blog. It's yet another week of contesting, and this time we have even more sophisticated work to do. However, it's never a challenge, the biggest thing to do is to start from somewhere. That is exactly what I'm doing.
In this week's contest, we have been asked to draw a different genre of anime, which is the Mecha anime.
For this exercise, I decide to pick one of the mentioned styles Which is the super robot genre. In my work, I am going to be drawing a brave series anime. Brave series is a genre of anime which was first introduce between 1990s to 2000. Originally created by Takara, and presently Takara Tomy, It was a genre of anime which was specific for children between the fire years old. At the time it was a key project introducing the super robot style today Japanese mainstream.
Drawing
Requirements |
---|
- pencils, 2B and 4B
- ruler
- eraser
- sharpener
- A4 sheet
With our requirements in place, it is time for us to start the drawing right away. There are a key features we need to take note of as we proceed.
Steps to follow.
- Marking out.
The first thing I will do is Mark out my paper, that is separated in into four quadrants in which parts of the elements are going to be located. Each quadrant mark a specific portion of the desire drawing in which I am about to create. Once this is done, we can proceed the next stage.
- Starting point
Carefully observing, it is important for me to begin with the head as it is going to give balance to the rest of the day body and the whole diagram at large. From here, I proceed to create the head crafting out every piece online, using free hand and ruler To obtain desirable results.
- Body introduction
Rounding up with the head, we move on to the next step which is the body. A lot of detours are Incorporated in this particular anime, in which care must be taken in order to carefully craft out the details in such a way that we are going to obtain the desireable results.
- Body continue
After marking out a portion of our exaggerating body, I proceed to add more features to the body as it is supposed to be following my guidelines. Spending some time, crafting out and making sure every piece is in order, I was finally able to produce part of the body as shown below.
- Adding hands.
With part of the body complete, I proceed from here to add the hands. Looking carefully, there is also a huge amount of detail to be put on designs in which I took my time to make sure everything is crafted in such a way that it is going to portray the beauty of the drawing.
- Down section. Legs.
If the upper body complete, I move on to the down part which is going to include the hips and the legs. There is a huge amount of armor I have to carve out and this is no easy task. However, based on my creativity, I was able to produce something which is much more fascinating. I started by producing one leg and adding onto the armor.
- Down section complete.
Looking at our design, it is already picking shape. Not stopping here, I will proceed to see what more I can do in order to produce the rest of the body. Continue progress, and putting into consideration every detail which is supposed to be in this image, I finally completed the leg and the body as well. As you can see below, our diagram is complete.
- Adding wings.
As a genre of Mecha anime, there are possibilities that these things can fly in movies. Not like I'm guessing it is the case in this one. So based on my guidelines, I would be adding some wings which are solid blades to the back of this drawing and we will see how it's looks like in the end. This is not that complicated though as it is all straight lines and know how much amount of detail to hide in them. Finally and finally our diagram is complete.
Shading |
---|
Shading is the most underrated aspect people often ignore in drawings, however, when it comes to anime, it is much more important as it shows some specific characteristics which are associated with a particular genre of anime. Anime in this case there are some shades we are going to produce so that our diagram can look magnificent.
Proceeding from here, there are three types of shades which I am going to be putting on to this drawing. The first shade is the deep dark, dark And light gray. These are the three features I will be highlighting on this drawing. Moving on, I continue with the drawing and shading every detail for a unanimous amount of time until I was able to obtain the results I was looking for. Now look how our diagrams this presented.
Hospital requirement of this exercise, I am authorized to take a selfie of myself and this drawing. Which is what I am going to be doing right away as proof of activity that I did this drawing all by myself. So in that aspect, below is a selfie of me and my drawing all in one picture.
Concluding, I would say Mecha anime are a fun genre and yet sophisticated character we can draw. It is important to take note that much detail is hidden in the shades. However, as you proceed with your own drawing, hopefully on my few steps can help guide you on your way of producing a great drawing.
I love this exercise as I was able to produce something I didn't believe I could do. At first it was challenging but at some point I got used to and work right through to the end.
Fun exercise to carry out, I would like to invite some people join me. Participate in this amazing contest.
