My Diary game - 18/06/2025 - SCHOOL LIFE

Hey everyone, what's good? So, in my last post, I said I’d be dropping updates more often, but life’s been throwing curveballs. This semester’s school work has been intense—assignments, projects, the works. And, okay, I’ll admit, a bit of laziness has been sneaking in too. But I’m here now, ready to share how my day went, and trust me, it was a vibe.

This morning, I was up by 5:30 AM, not by mistake o, but on purpose. I’ve been waking up early like this most mornings this semester, unlike when I’m at home, sleeping till noon. School life keeps you on your toes, abeg. No early lecture today, so I wasn’t in a rush. I went for a jog, did some stretching, and threw in a few exercises to stay sharp. Got back to the hostel by 6:48 AM, feeling like a champ.

With no morning class, I took it easy. Drank some water, had a bath, and decided to cook jollof rice. First time in two days I’ve cooked, ‘cause when I get back from lectures, the queue for the hot plate in our room is like a never-ending line, and my patience? Not my strong suit. Today, I got the hot plate, made some banging jollof,

ate, and hopped on my bed to watch a movie while my food settled. Pure relaxation mode.

My class was at 12 PM, so around 11, I started getting ready. I thought I had plenty of time, so I was moving slow, taking my sweet time. Next thing, I checked the clock—11:54 AM! Had to rush out like I was running for my life. Got to class, only to find out it didn’t start until after 2 PM. LOL, not the first time this has happened, and probably not the last. The lecture lasted about an hour and a half, nothing too crazy.

After class, I went to see off my course mate and friend at the shuttle ground. It’s become my daily thing, and yeah, she’s a lady, ‘cause only a fine girl can make me stand under that hot sun some days, no cap. Back at the hostel, my roommate gave me this extra warm “welcome back” vibe, and I knew something was up. Sure enough, he asked me to help him cook egusi soup—melon soup for those who don’t know. Y’all, my cooking skills are fire! Whenever I’m in the mood to cook, the aroma from my pot gets the whole hostel buzzing. I helped him out, and it was a win for me too, ‘cause I skipped eating rice again or spending cash on food.

After we ate and chilled a bit, I grabbed my bucket to fetch water—daily task, no escape. It was already a few minutes past 7 PM. Came back, stashed the water under the bunk, the only safe spot to avoid drama, and took a quick nap. My phone’s ringtone woke me up later, and after the call, I sat for a bit to shake off the sleep. Then I grabbed the water, bathed, and settled down to revise my books. Revising’s a struggle for me, but I’m trying to stay on track.

So here I am, typing this, and I can say today was pretty cool. Hope you all had a great day too, and I wish you a good night as you crash. Hopefully, I’ll drop another update tomorrow. Catch you later!
